[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — AMC charges for year 2015 - 16 charged before closing

Hello, This is Sreekanth Karnati, demat account no. [protected]. While signing the documents for my salary account the customer executive told me that I need to mandatorily sign the documents for this demat and if I dont use it, automatically it gets closed. So I had left with no other option to sign. Still you have sent me an email with the demat account statement and the charges for the next year and I contacted the bank and they told me that the charges are applicable only if I wish to continue the services. So I told them that I don't want to continue and they have taken a request to close the demat account in Jayanagar 3rd block branch, Bangalore on 20th June 2015. I told them many times that it is clearly written in the statement that the charges are for the next year i.e.[protected] and it is clearly written in the statement as AMC charges for the period May-15 to June-16. They are not supposed to debit the amount from my account. But they did. This is very unfair. I think my account is closed now. Please revert my money back. Thanks!

The bank person called me and told me that the demat account charges are debited as it was a batch process and not avoidable. So they arranged a manual credit of the debited amount. But the bank did not inform me that they are going to credit the amount nor respond to my emails. So I had to raise a complaint here and this issue got resolved. Thanks for this forum!

When will he address and at the first point why did you debit amount from my account for the coming year when I have raised a request for closure. You can not cheat customers like this and this is not the way to treat customers. I was very reluctant to open the account and your executive told that it is mandatory and no charges and this is how you cheat. Cheaters!
You told that you will contact me and you did not contact me till now. Why do you want to cheat customers saying all this ? I have email my concern to customer.[protected]@icicibank.com and also on your complaints forum in ICICI bank website. They never replied or called. This is ridiculous.
