[Resolved] ICICI Bank — credit card/lien mark on savings account | |||
Customer id:[protected] I have around 2.5 lakh outstanding in my credit card and the due date is 29/september/2020. But my card is blocked and my savings account also lien marked last week. Now, my account shows -2.7 lakhs. Due to this, ecs of other bank emi's also returned and charges are accumulating. I contacted the person in ambattur branch, chennai (Who has already called me for payment). He said that, if you make a payment of rs. 8100/-, i will send an email to the head office and make the total outstanding into emi with least possible interest. I confirmed to him twice that it's not card settlement. He told me it's just like a loan emi that you have to pay every month. I paid rs. 8100 on 11/sep/2020. Now he said that he got a reply from the head office, your card is permanently blocked and you have to pay the dues. Now the problem is my account lien marked with -2.7 lakhs, i could not use the account. All my ecs are returning and the burden is accumulating. My son was also under treatment, in this tough time it's very frustrating for me. My question: why is my card blocked and my account is lien marked even though there are several days left for the due date? Why is there no prior intimation before blocking my card and lien marking my account? My request: please remove lien mark in my account and convert the total card outstanding into emi that will be easy for me to pay (I can pay upto 15k per month) I have already taken a pl a few years back and paid every emi.
