[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — Request for addition of joint holder name pending for 59 days

I had submitted documents for addition of joint holder name in my bank account on 16th may 2015 at ICICI bank Nalbari, Assam but the same is still not done. I was informed that the request has been rejected due to name anomaly. Knowing the same I had resubmitted fresh documents as advised by customer care office at the branch but there was no update from their side. Even the service request was without any resolution. I had escalated the matter to Nodal Offer, after which they informed me to submit REKYC documents. REKYC submitted on accordingly on 6/27/2015. After several follow ups On 11/07/2015 I got a confirmation that the joint name addition has been done. Then I went to the Guwahati branch and requested for passbook however the joint holder name is not reflecting on the passbook. The customer care officer at branch (Name: Rahul Das) who attended me informed that name will be reflected after 3 days but the same has not been processed yet. Today I contacted the branch manager of Guwahati branch and informed the matter. He told me that he will delegate someone to get in touch with me to get the matter sorted out yet no one contacted me till now You are requested to kindly look into the matter and take appropriate action to resolve the matter at the earliest Service Request (SR) No: SR[protected] Account Number :[protected] Name : Manas Pratim Shandilya Branch : Guwahati

Problem is resolved. Joint account holder name is visible on the statement. Mr. Kaushik Tagore, Deputy Branch Manager, ICICI bank, Guwahati Branch has contacted me and confirmed the same over phone. He has also sent me an email requesting to withdraw the complaint from the portal (Email ID from which the mail was sent: [email protected])
ICICI Bank customer support has been notified about the posted complaint.

I have my savings account with ICICI since last 9 years. Now I would like to joint my son's name for the same account. When I enquired about the same in Mudhol branch, they simply told it is very tough, better you open your joint account in any other banks.

Is that such a tough work...?
