[Resolved]  ICICI Bank — Request to remove Lien Mark from Salary Account.

Hello Sir/Madam,

Today 29th February 2024 my salary get credited to my account of Rs. 52, 726.00/- and I tried to pay few billed through my mobile banking app and it populated that you have insufficient funds in your account, hence I called up ICICI Bank Customer Care Number 1800 1080 and have been advised that they have marked my account as Lien Account against the pending dues and its interest against my Salary OD account.

I have requested the customer care service executive in that case you should just deduct the interest and late fee charges from my exiting salary amount and should release remaining funds for my use.

Whereas they advised me to reach to my home branch and they only will be able to remove this Lien Mark from my salary account, once I reached my home branch and asked to remove the same they asked to pay the entire due amount and close the OD charges then only my account Lien marking will get removed.

I have requested the bank official along with branch manager to deduct the charges and interest and release remaining funds for my use as the credited salary is the only option for me and my family survival and I also committed the branch manager I am liable to pay the due amount and that will pay slowly on monthly basis till July 2024 and then you can close it and requested to remove the Lien mark from account to utilize funds for me and my family survival.

I have total overdue of Rs. 144, 000/- and in January, February & March 2024 my salary also will be going to get deducted with tax as I unable to submit any document due to some personal reason and maximum tax get applied on my entire salary.

I requested branch manager to do the necessary for me and my family survival but the manager simply refuse and said make the remaining payment of Rs. 81.474.00/- then only I will remove the Lien mark from your account.

I have requested the manager again and again as I do not have any other way of income from where I can manage home expenses and now bank completely block my account and its a matter of me, my children and my family survival.

Please help to remove the Lien mark from my salary account, I promise that I will make the full payment of pending dues from OD account by July 2024 and close it once it paid.

I would have been raised this complaint unless and until it wouldn't have been a matter or my survival.
