ICICI Bank — Reversal of Late Payment Fee

I missed the payment due date of my credit card due to some family condition. In the credit card statement nowhere mention that Late Payment Fee will be charged when payment is not done timely so why is it charged? It mentions only "Interest will be charged if your total amount due is not paid" . Kindly request you to revert back late fee reversal of the credit card.
