American express credit card team is mis-selling the insurance policies to customers by claiming that its a comprehensive insurance plan whereas the policy is very basic. i have intimated Insurance company icici lombard about a maternity claim in jan 2021 but the insurance company came back saying Maternity benefit was not included in my policy whereas the amex executive mis-sold the policy to me claiming it covers complete health care. When I requested for the call records, amex took 2 months and came back saying the language of the recording cannot be understood, whereas it was simple english in which the policy was discussed and sold. they never shared the call records even after repeated requests. As this was their mistake they even offered me a full refund of all the premium paid since last 6 years and cancel the policy but i didnt cancel the policy nor took the refund as i did not want my continuity benefits to be gone. i have written many emails to the head of customer service but all in vain.

Even this year in April when i gave the Mandate to amex executive to renew my policy as my wife has delivered a baby boy in feb and i did not wanted to lose the continuity benefit by porting it as my new born and wife will not be covered in new policy. I have clearly intimated the executive that i smoke and the policy documents should be renewed as per the given facts, but still they have hidden the facts while renewing and the policy sent to me is of non smoker which would result in refusal of claim in future. Amex is playing around with customers insurance policies and not disclosing complete information to insurance companies while getting the policies renewed or issuing fresh policies. Hiding of FACTS may clearly result in refusal of claims.

Shockingly, they are also sending a request to insurance companies to cancel the policies without taking the customer consent or without discussing with customer about it.

Please note that my policy has been cancelled by ICICI Lombard without any reason. i have been paying the premiums since last 5 years without any claim. Request your intervention in immediate restoration of policy.

i have been harassed by the corporate agent american express and even after repeated requests they have not responded as to why the policy cancellation request has been initiated by them? May i kindly request the concerned authorities to take strict action and cancel their composite insurance broking license as they are not only playing with monies of the customers but also playing with the lives of innocent customers.
