[Resolved]  Icici Lombard — Health insurance policy Group - Harassment during Cancellation

ICICILom:[protected] Health Policy cancellation - 4015I/IDOPD/[protected]/00/000 - To cover my wife and daughter and along with this I have requested policy for me which was rejected and the premium paid was refunded to my ICICI account from where it was funded. When I requested cancellation of the policy (the next day it was issued) of My wife and daughter I was asked to send request to customer service with cancelled cheque. I send my ICICI bank cancelled cheque and I was aksed to send adhar card and cancelled cheque of the policy holder. I send cancelled cheque of my wife and adhar card details again customer service responded that it cannot be cancelled because my name was "Prabhu Natesan Doraikannu" as per my ICICI savings bank account and the policy was issued in the name of "Prabhu Doraikannu" not sure how ? When contacted customer service over phone they were rude saying that if the systems says I had to provide cancelled cheque in the name of "Prabhu Doraikannu" I have to provide that way.
How come they have refunded the premium to the same account when the proposal was rejected by ICICI while the same is not applicable for cancellation of the policy by user the next day. Looks like ICICI bank and ICICI Lombard health insurance departments do not work together.
