[Resolved]  ICICI Lombard Insurance Company — Partial Claim settlement for claim no MOT05049877

I registered motor claim for my bike CBR 150R damage on rear wheel due to hit by deep pathhole by calling icici lombard customer care. I have given the bike to Tansi Honda service(garage) to have surveyor, yathish, to survey the damage. Damaged Wheel and tyre was replaced. As this garage has no cashless payment, I had payed the bill amount for latter reimbursement as suggested customer care earlier during claim registration. To my surprise, the surveyor has only released/approved the payment for wheel and not for the tyres immediately I call him for the clarification. He said that he only approved the wheel damage and not for the tyre. Also He received the bill from the garage only for wheel and not for the tyre. I told him that the tyre was also damaged. I have bill for both wheel and tyre. I can send the bill to him. He said he can not do anything now as for tyre damaged he has not given the approval. I asked him that how could customer know that you have given only wheel approval and not for the tyre. I feel cheated by reimbursement process. The rear bike wheel had bend and crack and at the same location tubeless tyre also has crack. Looks like surveyor has not done the survey properly. This is new 5 month old bike. So Tyre was in good condition. Only because of wheel crack it has puncture the tyre very wide. I called customer today, registered a complaint no.[protected] but looks like surveyor has final say in settlement as I understood from customer care. I took insurance with zero depreciation for peace of mind. But this has become nightmare. I also argued that why should i bear the cost of tyre when I have insurance to cover unforseen incident. He said He cannot do anything. Asked me to discuss with Tansi Honda garage only, why they have not informed the surveyor about tyre puncture/crack. I said how could I know you have not been informed about tyre crack/puncture. Also I am not technical guy. I could only describe the problem and what I can seen. I am going tomorrow to Tansi Honda to collect the damage parts if they still have for a proof. Can anybody help with registering complaint with IRDA. I have less confidence on ICICI lombard insurance now.
