ICICI Pru life Insurance - Inordinate delay of death claim settlement Policy No[protected] days lapsed from TAT
It's been 8 months since claim documents for ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Policy No. 94401426 were submitted to ICICI for death claim settlement.
All claim documents have been submitted on 6th June 2021 and ICICI Secunderabad branch has issued acknowledgement for the same (attached herewith). The Turn around Time for claims as per ICICI Pru Life is "Investigation should be completed not later than 90 days from the date of receipt of claim intimation and the claim shall be settled within 30 days thereafter". Considering the above TAT, my claim has to be settled by October 6th, 2021.
Many requests were made to settle claim during this 8 months, it seems our requests are falling on deaf ears.
Further, ICICI claims team has conducted enquiry at our residence and vouched all documents, collected proofs as part of claim process 4 months ago.
That after 6 months of receiving all claim documents, ICICI has sent a letter dated 30th November 2021 to submit copy of medical records of the insured and the same were sent to you on 3rd of December 2021 (Speed post tracking attached herewith) for which ICICI has not even acknowledged receipt of documents till date. I believe this is only to delay the claim further.
And grievance redressal officer of ICICI had requested to allow time till January 31 2022 to redress my claim settlement complaint dated 26.12.2021. However, there is no reply from ICICI Grievance cell till date even after lapse of more than 30 days from complaint date.
Reasons unknown my claim is inordinately delayed by ICICI. Was this information helpful? |
