[Resolved] Idea Cellular — discontinuation of idea services | |
Hi sir\madam, I am a customer of idea. I had switched from tata docomo to idea and it was the worst decision i have ever taken. I stay in dombivli and i visited your idea gallery in dombivli (West). I payed my bill on 15th november and enquired about conversion from postpaid to prepaid. The lady just informed me to come on 1st december before 3:00 pm. Likewise i came on 1st december and i was asked to co-ordinate with suprita for the postpaid to prepaid conversion. Suprita asked me the reason for conversion to which i told her that my usage of the phone is not that much and hence i was willing to convert into prepaid. She tried to sell me different postpaid schemes to which i again told her that because of some personal issues i am converting from postpaid to prepaid. She made me talk to a customer executive on call, on which the person again tried to retain me on postpaid scheme but i again told the same that due to my personal reasons i am converting from postpaid to prepaid. After the conversation, suprita immediately processed my postpaid to prepaid conversion in system and after the request for conversion was raised she informed me that i won't be able to use my phone for 5 days. Now if my number is not going to be of any use for 5 days, i believe this is something which she should have told me before raising the request for conversion from postpaid to prepaid. I told her that this is not acceptable because i would be missing on important calls and details if my phone would be out of reach for 5 days. She did not take the responsibility of the mistake from her end and instead got into a fight with me. She started shouting on me to which i had to shout in return. And the other 2 people sitting over there immediately came to her assistance and started putting blame on me. Point here is if my phone is going to be out of service for 5 days (Or 33 working hours as per suprita) then i should have been informed about it clearly before processing the request further. Suprita also told me that since i have converted from postpaid to prepaid because of my personal reasons, then i should manage my personal calls and contacts for 5 days accordingly. This is something very unprofessional. I pay you for your services and you are not giving me anything for free. I was shocked to see this is how you treat your customers. I don't think you have any right to tell me to handle my personal calls for 5 days for the mistake done from your end. Moreover when i requested to at least revert the process then suprita told me that she is not the head of idea company to solve such requests. Because of the issue which i faced on 1st december, i feel that i have done biggest mistake by converting my number from docomo to idea and i did not expect such behavior and unprofessionalism from idea employees. And since you guys already mentioned that it was my personal decision to convert from postpaid to prepaid and accordingly i should handle my calls for 5 days then with due regards i have managed all my calls and contacts and i no longer wish to be a customer of idea.
