[Resolved]  Idea Cellular — Idea sucks - [protected]

Pathetic customer service! I switched to IDea from Airtel (which I had for the last 8 years) believing that it would be a wise decision. I was wrong. The customer service sucks.I was facing issues with 3G. I called Idea and thay asked me to rest network settings eight times over a period of 2 days but issue was not resolved. I had to go to the Idea showroom on Monday and the sales person told me that I have used 1.5 GB so they have de-activated the service. What nonsense. I switched to Idea because I wanted 3G but I am not getting service. To add to the frustration, they just de-activated my outgoing calls too! Reason - I have crossed credit limit of 500 by just Rs.21. What a JOKE!! Airtel gave me a credit limit of Rs 8000 and never disconnected my services. This is cheap marketing. Just by having Abhishek Bacchan saying what an IDea sir ji just not make sense.

I want someone from the corporate office to call me. I am going to take this up with the consumer court. [protected]

You have wasted my time and I ahve suffered huge loss in my online business. I need compensation else I am going to sue Idea. Please do not think I do not have contacts. Please look up the internet. I am a relative of the SBI chief - Arundhati Bhattacharya and will use her contacts to escalate the matter to the highest authoroties.

How can Idea stop service of someone who owns 3 iphones, 2 ipads. Do you think I cannot afford to pay Rs. 500. On the first day I told Kapil Sharma (idea cellular sales agent - Phase 10 Mohali) that I am a heavy user and most of my calls are STD calls. Then, why did he not tell me about all this. Your aim is just to sell connection and let customers go through all these pains. I am FURIOUS and want to slap you guys hard. I wish I could do that.

It has not been resolved. I suffered loss in my business. Who is going to compensate me for that? I am still keeping this case open. I am going to write to district consumer disputes redressal forum and take it up with them. You did not resolve the problem. I did by paying 300 advance. Rs 500 is no credit limit. You should see the history of a customer when switching them over to your network!

I received call from the Idea showroom at Phase 10 Mohali. They asked me to send the Airtel Bill which shows a credit limit of 8000. Now, the problem is, that I have the pdf file (Old airtel bill) but it needs a password. Since I have switched networks, I am unable to send a message to 121 to get a password. How am I supposed to prove that I had the credit limit I mentioned earlier. Are you thinking that I am lying. Why don't you call airtel and verify the info. My number was [protected] (airtel).

Recently, my Bill was genrated and the amount I had to pay was 1287!! I thought Idea would be cheaper but No. that's not true. Idea is cheating customers. The Bill you sent me is confusion. No one is able to understand what's written in that email. You guys have made it so complicated!

I HATE Idea and an waiting for the 90 days to pass. I'll switch over to Airtel. Their customer service is far better than yours. Your customer service reps don;t know anything. They don;t look into the system and keep asking for same info over and over again. What's the point of having a CRM software when you have to ask everything time and again. Just 5 days back you disconneted my service again. I called Idea care and told them that I have already registered with corporates but they dint care a about you guys and my complaints. They were rude and asked me to pay the entire amount if I want my outgoing calls unbarred.

I totally agree! I got this sim on the advice of the seller. Here is my story.
I have idea cell prepaid number[protected] since September 2014 in Delhi NCR
I got a message on Dec 16: "Dear customer the validity of your
connection is expired on[protected]. ..." I visited My Idea showroom in south Delhi; they said there is no problem with this number, you must have got a wrong message. After 3 days my network stopped working. I visited the My Idea showroom again, this time my number got activated in half an hour.

Again on Jan 2, I got a similar message of expiry on[protected] when I was travelling. On my return, the sim was declared invalid. I visited My Idea show room 3 times, but the number is still invalid. I called My Idea customer service and they told me that this number can not be activated! Never thought that Idea took care of its customers like that. I still had balance on this around 160 Rs. and they want me to take a new sim. What a farce!
