[Resolved] Idea Cellular — siphoning 4g data from customer | |||||
I have been an idea cellular customer for 10 years now. In all these years, i have found idea to be the most expensive cellular network provider. However, i continued to use it due to better coverage network. Now, after having upgraded to 4g sim, all my troubles with them have begun. First, they will never tell you if certain recharge packs are active anymore or not. It is only after you recharge and call up customer care, that they tell you that this pack does not exist anymore. Moreover, they refuse to return your money. Second, there are multiple hidden offers which the customer is not aware of. It is only once you threaten to port your number to another network, that they tell you about their 'exciting offers'. Third and most troubling is that for the last two weeks, my data pack of 1gb per day is not being used by me, but has been siphoned off by the company. The data pack, magically starts at 12 a. M ever day and is apparently either used by 6 a. M or gets consumed if you check your whatsapp messages, surf the net for half an hour. Customer care will refuse to take your complain and tell you the same nonsense repeatedly about how data is consumed by which application. Do they not know how much 1gb of surfing is!! It can last upto 6-9 hours depending on the content of the page. Shockingly, even when i am sleeping between the hours of 10 p. M - 6 a. M, the data seems to be used. Everyone is aware of back door data entry. If idea is running out of data bandwidth, they need to buy some more and not loot their loyal customers. I am so disgusted by such unethical work practises that i have decided to switch to vodafone, irrespective of the exciting offers, that idea may again try to entice me with. Good by, idea.
