India Post — Change in Postal Pin Code by Department of Posts, a big harassment to Public

We are residing in Jagadishpur Howrah, WB. For the last 30 years. at the same house/ same postal address. In the beginning all residents of the area were allotted Pin code of 711328 which is shown in most of the ID proofs. Few years back it was changed to 711115 and now all the residents have to go through a long and difficult procedure to get this new pin code altered at their ID proofs like, Passport, Voter Card, Pan Card, Aadhar Card etc. Adding to the harassment now a lot of departments (passport for example) even does not recognize this PIN code. What is the fault of Public in this method used by Postal Department of changing the Pin Code.
