[Resolved] Indian Railway — Non refund of ticket amount after filing of TDR, as train had been delayed more than 3 hours
Dear Sir/Madam, I am Mukul Kumar Tripathi, I had booked two train tickets from Bhopal to Gwalior and New Delhi through IRCTC for the date of 1st August 2014, Following are the both PNR No's [protected] and [protected] respectively. On the same day train Punjab mail/ 12137 had been delayed more than 8 hours and according to rule if train has gone late more than 3 hours then the full amount of basic fare would be refund but in my case after filing of TDR Indian railway has been refund me only half amount of basic fare in both above mention tickets. After that when I contacted to IRCTC regarding the mention subject they reply me by below mention mail "Dear Customer, As per the policy framed by Railway Board against the PNR No.[protected] and [protected], refund is processed by the Zonal Railway under whose jurisdiction station of the train falls. IRCTC only provides access to Railway Passenger Reservation System through its server and internet connectivity to book the ticket through it. Railway and IRCTC are different entities. TDR filed by the customers are directly dealt by the concerened Railway for decision. IRCTC has no role in deciding the refund. On receipt of refund amount from the Railways, it is credited to the account of the customer through same payment gateway which was used while making booking." Please look into this matter Regards Mukul Kumar Tripathi [protected] Was this information helpful?
