I bought an LG 32 LED TV online and got it delivered on 01st Feb 2015 to my address in Chennai. When the Online vendor tried to Contact LG for free installation, the LG team kept delaying the request for one week. After that I decided to go for a paid Installation and called up LG on 07th Feb. Being getting paid for the installation, LG team promptly took the request and send a technician for installation on 07th Feb. After the installation the technician refused to provide a hard copy of the bill and made me talk to the LG execution over phone and they assured me that I will receive an Invoice of the bill within 24 hours. Its 11 over now and I have not yet received the Bill yet.
I regularly kept calling them and reached everyone from bottom level till high level to get the bill emailed to me. I spoke to everyone including Customer Care(multiple times), Areas Service Supervisor (Mr. Ramasamy), Chief Operating Officer (Mr. Prabhakaran). When I spoke to Mr. Ramasamy on 14th feb, he assured me that he has taken the complaint to Head Office and I will be receiving the bill in few hours. But after that again 5 days are over and in this period I tried multiple attempts to call Mr. Ramasamy but I am not getting any kind of response. Since I was not getting any response from Area Service Supervisor, I called up and also messaged Chief Operating Officer (Mr. Prabhakaran) on 17th, he did not pick up the call and messaged saying he is busy and will call back shortly. He never came back and after trying multiple attempts somehow I was able to talk to him on 18th (today). His reply was “Mr. Ramasamy is busy in a meeting and we will get back to you later. Anyways, you have got your installation done and you ONLY need the bill right.” When I said that it’s not about ONLY bill, but about the unacceptable delay and I have to submit this bill to the Online vendor to claim the installation amount and if I do not get the bill on time, I will not get the money reimbursed. If that happens, “Will LG pay me the installation amount because all happened due to of delay from LG side”? He bluntly said “No, LG will not be responsible and will not pay the money”.
Even though holding such responsible positions, I did not see these people taking the matter seriously and taking the consumers for granted. In turn, the consumers are facing problems and losing their Valuable Time and Money. Now I ask this Question in this Consumer Forum, “Even after paying the amount for a service which firm in India prolongs/denies the Bill for 11 days?” and if there are any repercussions due to this irresponsible behavior who will be held responsible and will face the loss?
I am looking for an immediate action to be taken in this regard and requesting for a lesson to be taught to LG for such Horrible Service and Cheating Consumers. Was this information helpful? |
