LG Electronics — Defective LG refrigerator | |||
This is with reference to the fridge (GL-D302RPJL/2014) that I purchased on 19th Dec 2014 from Amazon (invoice attached). Within 1 month itself, the fridge has got spoilt (compressor and pcb not working). I reported this issue to LG customer service on 18th Jan (RNA[protected] and just today put in another request to replace the defective refrigerator(RNA[protected]. The LG person has come multiple times to my house. At one time, he said compressor is not working. At another time he said, PCB is not working. This is going on since few days now. The fridge is under warranty used for only 1 month! How can a brand new fridge even be thought of repairing when it has so many problems? I request you to replace this defective fridge ASAP. Repairing is not an option as it is a brand new fridge and I have paid almost 30K for the fridge. I am without a refrigerator since few days now and finding it extremely difficult. Thanks, Neville. We paid $3000.00 for our LG refrig (french door)/ freezer and after 34 months the freezing units on both the freezer itself and the door icemaker quit working with a er/ff code and a fr/dy code. The first is an icemaker mother board malfunction, the second occurred AFTER the lg rep replaced the mother board with a new one. The LG rep then put our old mother board back in and ordered a new replacement board saying the other one must have been defective. Guess What? They put in the new replacement mother board today 3/12/15 and... yep now the icemaker and water dispenser will not work. A $3000 refrigerator should not be having these problems after 34 months.
