I have been using Micromax Canvas Selfie since 29 April 2015.In November 2015 when my charging slot stopped functioning, I was charged around Rs 750, despite the phone being under warranty, as it was considered to be a "Physical damage". Last month I accidently dropped something on my phone and the screen got damaged .I was charged a whopping amount of 4500 for getting it replaced through the Micromax service center in Dadar, Mumbai. I was assured that the amount is huge due to the authenticity of the part that would replace my broken screen .Within a month the screen got damaged yet again, this time without any external factors such as dropping it down etc. This time again I have been told I need to shell out 3800 for the same .When I argued that it has been less than a month, the obnoxiously curt executives at the Dadar Service Center began accusing that I may have dropped the phone or caused some damage despite me claiming otherwise. Assuming I had actually accidentally dropped the phone, what happened to the assurances given to me while I was charged 4500 during the last repair. Are MIcromax's "Authentically Replaced Parts" so fragile that they fall apart in less than a month .Within one year I have had to repair it thrice . If I proceed with the repair this time, I would have spent 9050 on the repairs for a phone I bought for 15500 last year and whose price is less than 9000 as on date. Also the terms and conditions for warranty are extremely unclear .I was using a samsung and a Sony Experia earlier and never had to face such issues of being looted at the Service centre.Seriously dissapointed by the product as well as the service center facilities provided by Micromax Was this information helpful? |
