A warning in good faith to all who are thinking of buying a micromax tv, please do not do so.
Complaint summary: if your tv is out of warranty, they do not have replacement parts. No one will pick up your calls & registering complaint on their site will lead to only new complaint numbers with no action.
You will end spending money twice for buying a new tv.
Detailed description: i bought a micromax 40inch led tv. To be fair, it was a good tv while it worked & was good value for money from an indian brand.
After tv went out of warranty, we had to raise a complaint 4 times over 10 days just for a technician visit.
17th july – ref no:[protected]. Technician assigned. Says cannot make it, so will visit next day. Next day says he is assigned bandra & cannot come. On insisting, says he would try to send a replacement. No call from him since
23rd july – ref no:[protected]. New complaint raised & the lady promised to call back within 24 hours. No action.
25th july – ref no:[protected]. New complaint raised for escalation of issue. The lady apologized & promised call back within 24 hours. Again no action.
26th july – ref no:[protected]. New complaint number.
That was just the start of our troubles. After the technician visited, he mentioned motherboard replacement as only solution costing 4, 000 rs. We agreed for the paid part replacement on the same day. After that 4 times excel service of mumbai has lied to us status of the part coming from delhi.
Today almost 1 month after the technician visit, the service centre people are avoiding our calls. We do not think there is any part coming from delhi.
I have given then 3 warnings on mail and opportunities to resolve my problem before listing it here, so it is obvious they do not care. Complaints to the company & ho has led to no action, reply email or even indication that they care about our plight. Only a new complaint number is issued every time.
So please stay away from micromax tvs.

They have no answer as to why their tele-executives have been lying about the part already despatched. Moved the blame completely to the tele-executive. No answer to why the technician did not say so when we asked for the part to be replaced.
I asked for a copy of company policy, cannot give anything in writing.
I have Zero trust on these guys now.
