MIOT Hospitals — unethical behavior and incorrect diagnosis.

On 14-03-20, sunday mr. B. Mohanraj, (Patient's name), my brother - in-law was affected by very high fever, due to urinary infection. As the doctor already diagnosed him has not prescribed any medicine for fever, his body temperature had shoot up at 2.30am. As the temperature was unbearable he felt shivering and he himself told us to take him to the hospital. But while moving for hospital he defied to get into the car and he was inarticulate. However we have managed and pushed him inside the car and rushed to the nearby miot hospital emergency care. Age of the patient and his wife is 69 and 65 respectively. She has explained the history of the case to the duty doctor.in view of her age and consternation she was unable to answer his questions properly. The duty doctor started shouting at her telling that he is the doctor there. Moreover, after the initiation of treatment the doctor came to us and said he needs to be in observation for not less than two days in icu and his brain seems to have been infected and requires mri and further treatment. The doctor had virtually frightened the aged attender instead of consoling her. Just because of his petrifying opinion we have shifted him at once to ramachandra hospital. The doctor immediately attended him has confirmed his mental healthiness. However after seeing the discharge summery of miot only he has insisted brain scanning. Finally he was treated for urinary infection and discharged on wednesday. He was affected by high fever due to urinary infection and the consequent seizure. Your doctor is unable to diagnose this and offered petrifying opinion.in view of his deceitful opinion, they have insisted mri scanning and finally the claim for mri was disallowed by the insurer. Please train your emergency doctors (Machine dependent) for ethical behavior and proper diagnosis. My neighbors who accompanied us have noted all these and i am sure no one will think of miot for emergency. R. Rajendra prasad. F. I. E., c. Engr. '
