Ola Cabs — Reckless behavior of the driver | |||
This complaint is in regard with the incident that I encountered on the morning of 23rd March, 2015 in Dehradun. I had booked an Ola cab for a pickup from ISBT Dehradun in the morning at 5:30am. Since i had booked the cab from the Ola Cab app, i was able to get all the driver details and his position immediately. The estimated pickup time was 13 mins when i had booked the cab. I called the driver after 15 mins of waiting. The driver very casually asked me to wait 15 mins more since he was far off even when his GPS location showed him at a distance of hardly 10 mins walking. Since i was accompanied by my sister, i decided to wait as it would be unsafe to travel by any other mode at that odd hour. Again i called the driver after 10 mins and scolded him for not moving from his location when the cab was already delayed by more than 30 mins to which the driver rudely suggested that if I wish i can cancel the cab. Since this was the height of my tolerance, i had to cancel the cab and had to take an Auto with my sister, at that odd hour which also costed me 500 rupees more than what the cab would have costed me since i had a promotional coupon and Ola money. What is the point of having such services if they hire such reckless and hostile drivers? I demand effective action asap along with adequate compensation since both my money, my comfort and my security was put to risk. Was this information helpful? | |||
