[Resolved] Onida — AMC | |||
I am in possession of an ONIDA make 6.8 K semi-automatic machine purchased in 2006. Since its purchase it has regularly been under AMC which expired in April 2014. For the last over one month I have been lodging complaints with ADONIS - the service centre in Jammu, J&K requesting the agency to send somebody for registering an AMC and also deliver an inlet pipe which is damaged but to no avail. It was, after I lodged a complaint on line through Ashoke complaint service that two lads appeared on my premises for rectifying the defect in the machine. Though I had specifically advised the agency to deliver the pipe and get an AMC for the machine it is quite unfortunate that the techinicians had been sent by the agency for rectifying the defect which did not exist at all and for which the complaint had not been lodged. It was highly irritating. This smacks of the casual approach of the service centre who (1) did the send their representative for about of a month for AMC and (2) do not give proper directions to their representatives as to what they had to attend to. This is also indicative of the fact that the company (ONIDA) has no control over the activities of its service centres vis-a-vis the commplaints lodged against their products etc. In view of the above I feel it to be a foolishness to purchase an electronic equipment of the company in future.
