Philips — Cheated and Lied by Philips Dealer

Dear Sir/Ma'am, Greetings!! Last year I had bought a "Philips" DVD player from "Goyal Electronic" located in Jayanti Market, Jaipur. At the time of purchasing the DVD player, I was promised that the DVD player would play "28" formats from USB port (pen-drive). I had repeatedly confirmed it with teh shop owner, I had made it very clear at the time of purchasing that this is the only reason I'm buying it. Months passed by and I didn't used the player...played no DVD/CD/USB or anything over it (Well I didnt got time, its normal). Later when I tried playing movies through USB, none of them played. I got in touch with the dealer (Goyal Electronics) and didnt received any good response from them, they just kept repeating it will play "28" formats. Finally I had to contact PHILIPS customer care and they told me that the player only plays MPEG3 and MPEG4 player. Now the Goyal electronics doesnt take the responsibility for cheating and lying to me, and nor does philips takes the responsibility for a representative of their's to cheat and lie to me. In between both of them, I'm stuck. All I want is - To have a DVD player which plays basic movie formats like .AVI and MP4 etc. through USB. I'm ready to exchange the current player with an upgraded one and pay the difference. Please help me out with this. Thanks. Your prompt reply would be apreciated.
