I have booked a courier to send quotation for an order of Agricultural Machines addressed to 'NATIONAL RESEARCH CENTRE ON SEED SPICES, TABIJI, AJMER' on 26/8/13 from a Stationary Shop at U.E-II Shopping Complex, Hisar who is an Agent of On Dot Courier Services. At the time of giving him the packet I asked him that if this courier be reached to this address before 30th of Aug. He told me that it would reach in one or two days and suggested me to write the Telephone no. also of the NRCSS. I did that and paid him Rs. 40 for the courier charges. He provided me the slip with Tracking no.[protected].
On Sept'2, 2013 I made a call to NRCSS to know the status on the quotation. They told me that they have not received any courier from us. I then tracked the courier from the On Dot Courier website and found that it was returned from their Delhi office with the note that Service Not Available. Next Day I then went to On Dot Courier Head Office at Prajat Complex in Hisar. They returned the packet to me and said that they do not have the service for Ajmer. I told them that if they would have informed me at the time of taking the packet or at-least next day that they do not have the service then I would have done the Speed Post. Now I have lost to participate in the tender and purchase order due to their negligence so they shall compensate me for the loss. They replied me that we can't do anything and I shall talk to the shopkeeper who have booked your courier. I then went to the shopkeeper. He said that he is not responsible and blamed to H.O and suggested me to talk to them. I told him that I am directly coming from there. He said that ok give me the envelope and then I will put complain. He suggested me to check with him tomorrow.
Next day I visited the Shop keeper. His reply to me was the same as was of there H.O. I said to him ok then just give my Rs. 40 back which I have given you as the courier charges. He said that he will not return the money back.
I would request you to please take the appropriate action against them as you can think how much money they make from the customers making them fool by just saying that they do not have the service for the station after booking the courier and taking money.
