[Resolved]  Reliance Broadband — Deficiency in Services

[Dear Sir, I have paid the dues of my data card number [protected]. I don't want to use it right now due to some unavoidable circumstances. I have attached the final bill payment of the above mentioned data card for your kind attention. Kindly stop the services with an immediate effect so that further bill will not be generated. And wait for my consent for activation as I can mail you for activation in near future. Regards Akhilesh Kumar Pandey][protected] {Please read the below lines} After this mail to customer care I got a call within 2 days from a representative about disconnection of my data card number [protected] and guided me about freezing the account for a certain period will cost nothing but Rs 50 per month only. I was convinced and asked him to do so. He also informed me that no bill will be generated after freezing the number. I just have to pay Rs 50 * the month for activation of the data card again. Despite your acknowledgement of my mails I am receiving bills every month. I have also mailed on 5th September & 6th October but I am receiving only acknowledgement but no reply from your side. Dear Sir/Madam, Despite my communications via mail and over telephone you are repeatedly sending me the outstanding bill. It is very disheartening to know that a big company like reliance is cheating in this way. Please go through the letter which I have already sent on September '5, 2015 and October'6, 2015. I am writing to you to bring to your notice the extreme difficulty I have faced after availing your deficient services and the harassment which I have been subjected to without any rhyme or reason. The conduct of your company has left me disgusted for which the brand image stands dubious and contaminated. I am a customer of your telecom service providing company holding Relationship Number:[protected]. The phone number assigned for my usage is [protected]. On 30th May, 2015, I mailed you for stopping the services after paying my dues. In response a representative called me and inquired about the reason for stopping the services and guided me that the data services of this dongle can be stopped for a fixed period and it can be resumed after paying a little amount of Rs 50 per month till the resume date. I agreed and told him to stop the services for 6 months and I will pay the amount Rs 300/- after 6 months for reactivation. So I freezed my data services and during this period no billing should be generated. But I found on my mail the bill amount of Rs 789/- vide bill no[protected]. Assuming that the Customer is naïve and ignorant about the bills, Companies like yours charge the customers heavily and arbitrarily reflecting signs of business malfunction and ill-practice. I am appalled to heave received such inefficient and deceptive services from a Company of your repute. Your company’s actions are liable under Section 2(1)(g) of the Consumer Protection Act, 1986 which defines “*deficiency*” as any fault, imperfection, shortcoming or inadequacy in the quality, nature and manner of performance which is required to be maintained by or under any law for the time being in force or has been undertaken to be performed by a person in pursuance of a contract or otherwise in relation to any service time being in force or has been undertaken to be performed by a person in pursuance of a contract or otherwise in relation to any service. Also, as per *Section 2(1)(r) of Consumer Protection Act 1986*, "unfair trade practice" means a trade practice which, for the purpose of promoting the sale, use or supply of any goods or for the provision of any service, adopts any unfair method or unfair or deceptive practice. Thus, your company comes squarely within the purview of law. Given the above sequence of events, I request you to kindly look into the matter immediately and inform me about the reason of such arbitrary charges as soon as possible. Also, kindly waive the Bill amount and inform me about this also. After doing the above stop the services immediately of the above mentioned number and no further bill will be generated in future.
