I had reliance netconnect data card ([protected]) for the past 8 years. On june 2016, reliance announced that they will upgrade from cdma to 4g, i subscribed for 4g simcard. I received it in a week and got it registered at webstore by june last week…waiting for 4g services to activate. Suddenly, my data card stopped working on 7th july 2016. I called customer care for continously 2 days... Simultaneously, wrote email to customer care and there was no response. On 3rd day i called again and thankfully this time i was told that they deactivated cdma services without any prior notice and without activating 4g. I was shocked and angry.

As i am a self employed person working from home on internet, my work stopped with no net…. I went to webstore, i was told that i need to buy 4g new dongle imdlty at higher rate of rs. 1500/- instead of rs. 800/- bcoz i was late to buy a dongle in june and now company has increased price in july month. (Till june it was at rs. 800 – in july, they increase 4g dongle to rs. 1500/-). So, i refused. I felt, i am cheated. Why did reliance not call or send email to me with prior notice of de-activating cdma? Why did reliance not inform to me in advance with a deadline to buy 4g dongle? Why did reliance keep me in dark for so many days?

I suffered for 17 days with no net…lost work…. Lost my commitment to my client of delivering work on time. Hence suffered loss. On 22nd july, i bought services of another provider. I called reliance care to de-activate my no. Imdetely. Instead they sent bill for july-2016. I wrote back imdtly that i will not pay till you de-activate my no. They said i should go to reliance webstore. Month passed again, and they sent me bill for august with overdue amount and penalty. I was shocked.

I went to webstore in september to ask them for reason for not de-activating my no.. They asked me to make the full payment. I said i will pay only for the july month which i have used for and not after that. They refused. I came back home. After few days, they sent one person at my residence asking for payment, i said i will pay only for july which i am bound to not after that. I kept receiving calls and sms. Again on 9th october 2016, i got bill with overdue amount of rs. 2456/-.

Today i got a legal notice by mail from an advocate to pay rs. 2456/- within 4 days or face legal action.

This is simply wrong…. Shame on reliance..

I want to ask reliance and consumer court that why should i pay for un-usage service?

Why should i pay for reliance’s wrong and untimely decision to de-activate cdma services without activating 4g services?

Why should i pay for reliance’s greed for charging more money for 4g dongle (June @ rs. 899/- and in july @ 1500)?

Why should i pay for reliance’s unprofessional way of communicating with consumers?

Why should i pay for in-efficiency and extremely poor services of reliance customer care when i called them when they de-activated cdma without any prior notice failing which i lost my work and clients?

Why should i pay for the stress that i suffered during those 17 days with no net due to which i had no work? Why???

I am surprised to see that when we call customer care for any services or action, their speed of reacting is either slow or not satisfactory, but when they want to take action against consumers for bill collection, they are so quick and prompt..

I have read several similar cases logged by reliance customers. Reliance seems to be creating a menace in the public by threatening them so openly. The government should intervene and put a stop to this harassment that they are creating. (Eg. The nos. To end with my complaint, i stand to my truth that i shall not pay a penny more that what i am liable for (Only for july month)?? No matter even i have to face any consequence, i am ready but i will not give away my hardearn money to wrong doings of reliance...

I bought a JIO-FI and submitted the KYC on 8th of Sept'. On the 15th of Sept' 2016, I received a SMS with the order no: NO 000008O1MI. And haven't received any SMSs till today.
I visited the store where I submitted my the KYC docs, but they asked me to apply fresh, as they lost the docs. Applied fresh on 26th Sept, but no SMSs yet. Do something!
I was deactivated the NDTVPLAYSUB21 pack on 28th sep2016. But after they(rcom) debited Rs.14 from my account for the deactivated NDTVPLAYSUB on 3rd oct2016. I spoke with Customer Care on 5th oct2016 they won't response and they won't refund my amount.

Who lied to all there customers for their 4G Wipod launch with numerous calls stating

existing plans won't change
10 GB free data for first month
Rs. 899 cost of wipod would be adjusted over 3 month

Post which they changed plan without customer signoff, billed clients on plans unauthorized by customers.

Who closed customer care so customers could not reach them to discuss this issue nor close their accounts.

Against whom victims have filed petition with Dot Trai...and yet they shamelessly continue to be unreasonable.

Who are fine to loose clients but want their fraud billed monies.

We the consumers/victims are not fools to appreciate your fraud as an operator we condemn your dirty actions.

As a service provider you were expected to be transparent on your plans/cost before inducing customers to buy Wipods, your telecallers were not meant to blatantly lie on calls.

By this notice I call upon you to refund the amount of excess paid, details have been emailed to your appellate, collection team is copied, within 3 days from the date of receipt of this notice. To avoid any legal actions in near future request you to clear the dues.
