Reliance Communications — Reliance forceful conversion to 4g service. | |||||
Dear Concerned, It was very surprising and painful experience a few days back when I did a couple of INR 299 recharge on my Reliance 3G stick. when the recharges didn't happened successfully despite balance getting deducted on both occasions, I decided to visit nearby Reliance store and to my utter disbelief I was told that the service is deactivated by Reliance for ALL customers as an upgrade to 4G is going on and no customer will be able to use 3G service anymore. When questioned as to what will happen about the recharge done, the simple answer was that money is gone, neither would there be any refund nor the amount will be carry forwarded to 4G. My question is why ? Shouldn't that amount be carry forwarded to 4G ??? Is this not cheating the customer ? I would like that money to be refunded to me by Reliance. An upgrade to 4G was not something I requested for, it's the company forcing customers to go for the upgrade. Hence, it should be their responsibility to ensure customers do not suffer. Moreover, when Reliance know they are not going to provide service anymore to 3G customers, they should also have ensured that no customer does any recharge mistakenly (At Least on their own portal) only to suffer.
