Reliance Communications — Reliance is forcefully asking cdma service users to buy gsm handset | |||
Dear Team, This complaint is about the Reliance Communications that is providing the CDMA Mobile services in Maharashtra. I have a Reliance mobile Prepaid connection. Currently the service is CDMA. From last 3-4 days Reliance is continuously giving announcement on phone that their service is being upgraded to 3G/4G and need to collect the sim from the store. When I enquired on customer care at [protected], care executive confirmed the same. When I asked "what about the present handset? Whether I will be able to use it or not?" then Care Executive confirmed "You have to buy a new GSM handset as current CDMA services will be stopped" I[censored]pgrade is done by company then they should either provide the GSM handset for free of cost or continue the existing services or give the refund of the previous CDMA handset that I had purchased previously to use Reliance mobile services. This is an extra cost that Customer has to bear which is forceful. Please help. Was this information helpful? | |||

I too have raised a complaint with Reliance Customer Care for this matter, but I'm not seeing any progress.
