[Resolved]  Reliance Communications — Threats for payment issues

This is in regards of the threat calls i had received from Reliance communications.Below email copy would suffice the story.I did make the payment on Jan 28th.However, Reliance has not done anything to the shoddy and rowdy treatment they have done.Is there a consumer law which protects consumer from such shabby things?


Hi Reliance,

I had been using the datacard number XXXXXXXXX4 from May-2015-Dec 2015, I had registered for auto billpayment for all bills generated by you and i believe as a customer i have been prompt in my payments(Free to check the payment history)

Today I received a call from [protected] stating you have registered a case against me for non-payment of last due.I was shocked yet was extremely unhappy about this incident.First of all, the person who called claimed she is not from Reliance but from some entity representing you in this case against me. Second of all, this is first time i am getting any information about non-bill payment.Needless to say, the person representing you has been extremely rude to me in the call.


Now, I did check with the bank and your customer care regarding the number [protected].Reliance.Online customer care was unable to provide any information regarding this number or the incident we speak about. I checked with my bank and they do agree they have not made the final payment as the bill was not sent across from the vendor as the billing date was 20th and the connection was closed on 14th.


Few things to point out:

1. In all my relationship with Reliance, the payment has always been prompt.And i do believe the relationship lasted almost 3 years .
2. If the payment has not been received, do you not have a proper protocol to check with customer in email, or our phone especially if he/she has been a great customer? There should be a basic business etiquette that is anticipated from your side, even if it is not gentleman's one.

3. I can understand a case been registered for non-payment of high amounts, I could also understand if the customer has been bad/non-ethica..But when you had a good customer who has never missed any payments and hold a dignified place in society, is this how Reliance treats customers? Relaince being Rowdy, i would rather say.


Now we have two choices:

I understand i owe the final payment based on my discussion with my bank and i am willing to pay the final dues.Neither me or the bank was aware of this non-payment till today until this ugly incident from your side.I am unable to make the payment online and not in a position to visit a reliance store because of my schedule.If you could make a provision to make online or have someone collect the cheque from my side, we can close the things amicably.


If you are pursuing a case against me in Court of law, and that you are adamant to mistreat me, well then i guess we could take it either directions.


I would like to state that this ugly incident has made me to decide that never ever to resort to any of your services.It has been a mistake from my side to be a loyal customer to your services.I never had any such history with any entity with all business entities happy to entertain me as a customer.


You may let me know of your choices and we shall move accordingly.
