[Resolved] Reliance Digital — Error in Set Top Box | |||
My smart card No. is[protected]. On 2nd February 2014, a complaint was registered regarding the repair in set top box. The technicians told that the same has to be replaced. First we have to recharge for Rs.500/- After doing that they replaced the set top box and they have taken the old set top box with them. This happened on 14th Feb. 2014. Again on 20th of July 2014, while watching a movie, suddenly the screen was blank and after that the set top box is not working at all. To register a complaint, it took 3 days for me because every time the representatives are busy with no work. At last today I just tried and tried and got connected to one person. He informed me that the set top box is having warranty only for 90 days. Then the call was disconnected. He has not informed his name. Next one Mr. Yogesh talked (after 20 minutes of same procedure) he told that warranty for set top box is six months. then the call was disconnected. Again one Mr. Shiva...then Mr. Prabhakar... And finally some other tom dick has lifted the phone. I told him to connect me to his next higher authority. But he has told that my complaint is closed. I don't know how. Closing a complaint means what ? When a set top box is provided with new connection then the warranty is six months. but second time if we will buy a set top box from same Reliance, the warranty period is 90 days. This is what all the representative were repeating. How can a set top box of Reliance had two types of warranty period ? Further, we have recharged on 20/2/2014 for the programmes an amount of Rs.2254 for one year period. If the set top box will got stuck for every three months, do you mean to say that we have to go on purchasing a new one ? What kind of service is this ? I really don't understand.
