[Resolved] Reliance Gsm — Opted for 1298 truly unlimited 3g plan download speed recieving 25KBps only | |||
My name is Raunaq singh, I live is sector 35D chandigarh, I opted for 1298 truly Unlimited 3g plan on my prepaid no [protected] I was receiving good speed but now from last 2 days I am receiving only 25 KBps of max download speed. fix these issue or return my money. I am not going to give 3-4 days for fixing my issue from my 30 days plan this is ridiculous. I will file case with comsumer court in sec 36 chandigarh if the issue is not taken care of. *I am using iphone 5s(automatic setting so no issue there) *I cleared all the cache *I restarted my phone multiple time *I even tried using my sim in other android phone speed was still the same in other phones aswell *I even tried a dongle, download speed was still no more than 25 KBps. *I am receiving full signal strength still I have tried using my 3g in other sectors still the same slow download and browsing speed. I have been having the same problem except the average speed in my case is a pathetic 6-10 kbps. Reliance obviously has started throttling our connections despite the initial promise of "Full Speed, Unlimited 3G" and explicitly saying "No throttling at all". This is unacceptable and needs to be remedied ASAP. The days of connectivity lost should be added to the duration of the plan. If they can not fulfill the promised terms of the plan, stop the scam and give us our money back.

Still not fixed, they did sent me SMS saying it will be fixed in 6 hours, but now its more than 6 hours.
Yeah right, even customer care disconnect the phone every time I tried to contact them.

Oh I don't think your money has been wasted just yet. I think we can get a resolution if we are willing to deal with some frustration. I intend to use whatever means necessary to get them to either fix the issue and offer compensation. I got an email from them asking the usual questions and I responded to make the urgency of the matter very clear to them. If this doesn't work, I will go down to R-World and not leave until the problem is solved. Rounding up others with the same issue and taking legal action would be the next step.
This actually is my second month on this plan. The first month had issues, on and off, but it was OK. I was hoping the second month might get better as a plan like this isn't offered by any other service and was new for Reliance as well. Sadly, they have shown their true colors.

Went to the Reliance Store today. They tried to make it seem like a coverage issue but it didn't work 'cuz the device clearly showed full connectivity ( H+ ) .Another person with the same problem was given some vague excuse about issues that their engineers were working on and that was an obvious like since other people in the area using Reliance are getting good speeds.I noticed that, after an increase in complaints about this plan, they discontinued the 1298/- plan. This pretty much confirms that they aren't able to deliver the requisite bandwidth promised in messages ( they were sending me messages twice a day with this offer )
I spoke to a technical guy who said the issue will be addressed by tomorrow. If that doesn't happen, I plan to approach their higher execs with other people who have been affected by this flagrant violation of rules and demand a refund. Isolated complaints are not going to work.
Oh and I lodged a complaint against Reliance here as well

Good news my speed is back.
And about the plan I did received Unlimited 3G offer SMS yesterday but after checking on *129# it not available now, So that means they discontinued the plan.

Oh that is great ! What did you have to do to get the speed back ? And what kind of speeds are you getting during the day and night ?

Hey Reliance - I think Aman post makes it clear his problem was resolved. I am facing the same issue and my number is [protected]. The customer service rep who called me gave me a useless suggestion and wasted another day of connectivity. There has been no response to emails and no way to get in touch with you guys anymore. I keep hearing of server issues for which I am not responsible. Are you going to fix this problem or not ? What about the 6 days of lost connectivity ?

If Reliance won't listen to reason and mend its ways, it is only natural for people to engage in litigation, like class action lawsuits overseas, cuz India is set to have a consumer protection agency with sweeping powers to levy fines in such cases.
