Reliance Super Market — Billing person broke my debit card

I have visited Reliance fresh in MKB nagar branch Chennai last night. I have handed over my new debit card for swiping, he has broken it and gave me, saying Money was deducted only once so I need not worry. he was not even ready to apologize and very rude. when I went to the store manager he doesn't sound to be responsible he just went there and asked him then saying me he is a part time college student and not trained properly. but I don think it's a reason to be made in a branded shop like Reliance where we turn atleast weekly once. my suggestion is pls have them trained on customer handling. surely these guys will be spoiling brand value. the store manager who has to have control over the shop possess neither staff handling nor customer service.
