Royal Enfield — Day Robbery in Royal Enfield Service Center - KAIZEN MOTORS VYTILA, COCHIN

A week ago my vehicle noticed a petrol overflow problem. I took an appointment from RE service center Kaizen Motors Vytyla to get it fixed and I got today's appointment on 25/08/2022. Visited the service center and discussed the problem with a service engineer named Harikrishnan. I specifically mentioned that the petrol overflow was the only complaint and should be fixed permanently. They called me and gave me an update in the afternoon as the petrol tank was rusted and needed to be replaced immediately. Tank cost will be around 8500+ labor charges. I agreed to the replacement, hoping that there would be a permanent solution. He called me back an hour later and said that new petrol tanks were currently out of stock and that they had to be ordered and would be delivered in 2 weeks. He said he can take the vehicle for now and will let me know when the new stock arrives. Order placement took 2 weeks so I decided to collect my bike the same evening.

In the evening, on my way to pick up my bike from the service center, I received an SMS about an estimated bill of Rs.422/- which I didn't understand. Because I gave my vehicle to fix a complaint but they didn't fix it and charged me for some amount which is totally not acceptable. I met Harikrishnan and service manager Prajeesh Vijayan and they said this is the cost of cleaning the carburetor. I had my vehicle inspected and again I could see the same problem with the petrol overflowing. Despite what they have done, my complaint raised by me is still not resolved. Also, the service engineer has not informed me earlier about the charge and carburetor cleaning until I got there. I requested to pay the full amount once the complete issue is resolved. But they didn't agree. They misbehaved with me and did not allow me to take my vehicle without payment. Otherwise, an advance amount of Rs.1000 has to be paid for the purchase of a new petrol tank. Their customer interaction with me was very bad and they kept arguing with me.
It felt like a daytime robbery to accomplish their goals for the day. Also, when I informed them that I would report the issue to the next level, they responded to me with a non-committal attitude

As a customer, this is the worst experience I have faced, I am completely disappointed and I want to forward this issue to a better level until my issue gets justice. As a first step towards that, I would like to share this experience with you, hoping for a fair response from you. Hoping for your favorable response at the earliest. Now if this issue is not resolved from your end I will have to think about the next step of forwarding it to customer-complaint.

PS: Being a bullet enthusiast, not sharing this experience on any public website now.
