[Resolved] Skoda India — issues faced with rapid soon after the delivery of the car | |||||
The mail is regarding issues faced with my skoda rapid bearing chasis no. Tmbbvbnaxhg102125 and registration number : gj 01 ry 0378 bought from m/s torque automotive, ahmedabad on 30/3/2017. After a week of my purchase of the vehicle, i did the complaint about initial turbo lag in the car and i was assured by the dealer that it was nothing sort of any issue and it is the same in all cars, but to my surprise i did not feel the same in the demo car or any other skoda rapid that i drove. So i again sent the vehicle to dealer for check up and meanwhile some noise started which the dealer said was because of fly wheel and the part was not available with the dealer in stock. So after 15 days of follow ups and no response from the dealer side, i registered a complaint on the toll free number on 20th august 2017. After which the company said that the part will be available in 15 working days, and i can drive the car till the time they get the part and it won’t do any further damage. This was told me while i demanded for a loaner car and also they told me that the dealer’s loaner car was under repair. (Wow..!) After 15 days, when i again sent the car, it was after two days that the dealer informed me that the part wont be replaced by skoda under warranty and they will have to do the same under insurance, and then the insurance company denied to do the same under insurance. Please note i have taken insurance policy from torque automotive, in spite of getting better rates for the same insurance, to get a hassle free service experience, but to my surprise nothing helps out when you are stuck up with a poor customer experience and no response service from a dealer of a reputed company. Now the dealer is asking me to get it done on chargeable basis, which doesn’t seem quite viable to me as i was given the vehicle with some company manufacturing defect and the same is now not being covered by company, though my car is just 6 months old and drove not more the 5500 kms. Also the dealership is some 35 kms from my home, so i have to drive 70 kms just to get a not satisfying response and poor customer service along with zero management. I was planning to buy skoda octavia, as i liked the new version, but looking at the service from the dealer, seems i will have to sell out rapid, as i was advised while buying rapid to buy vento or some other car but not skoda. Now, a day back, i got a call from the dealership asking me to get it done on paid basis as it was the last part left (Last piece) and i will get the vehicle not before i month if i don’t get it done now as the part won’t be available then. Now this seems to be the last option to me if skoda india helps me out with the issue i am facing, or else i will have to approach the consumer care forum. We do not expect this kind of service from a reputed brand like skoda, already knowing that its lagging far behind other companies in terms of after sales service. Regards, Gemmy mulchandani.
