Spice Jet Airlines — Spice Jet Sold our confirmed tickets to other passengers at a premium and denied us boarding

Spice Jet Airlines flight no SG 108 chennai to delhi Total Loss accrued to us : 31378 + 8000 = 39378/- (due to forced buying of other airlines ticket at the last moment ) We had booked Spice Jet tickets Del to Chennai and return during one of the offers released in july 2015 We had a confirmed booking for flight number SG108 on 27th Sep from Chennai to Del at 7:15 p.m. We had started early from our place but got stuck in traffic due an accident but managed to be only 5 mins away from airport at 6:26p.m. We called up spice jet (call log image attached) to request for web check-in or some other mode of holding onto the boarding counter. The call center executive replied that flight is delayed by 20 mins ( new time been 7:35 pm) and we can safely report by 6:50 p.m. and there will be no hassle in getting the boarding pass On this we argued with the person that there is no intimation been send to us for delay in flight neither by call or email whereas all other Air Carriers send a message on flight delays. To this he accepted the system fault and apologized and assured us that it will be taken care as we reach the check in counter before 6:50 pm Upon hearing 6:50 p.m. from the spice jet call center, we got a breather but still asked the cab driver to rush to the Domestic Chennai airport. We reached Spice Jet boarding counter number 05 (pic attached) exactly at 6:35p.m. Which is 40 mins prior to the original flight timings and also 15 mins prior to 6:50p.m. - Timing told to us by the spice jet call center executive. But to our surprise Spice Jet CRO told he has closed the counter and denied us boarding saying we made several announcement at the airport and closed the boarding 5 mins back as all the passengers had reported(which clarifies the over booking in itself ). We kept on arguing and requesting the CRO to let us board the flight as we did not have check-in baggage’s. But For first 15 mins, he did not listen to us and kept moving between counters to kill time, and after requesting him repeatedly, he made a call and said nothing is possible as documentation has been done. We told him about our conversation with spice jet call center, to which he replied that he is not aware why the call center guys gave us wrong information and he cannot do anything. We requested him to let us talk to his seniors and he said he is the senior most person here. However when he was calling someone in his team we overheard him of talking about overbooking to his team member and that’s why he did not let us connect to anyone else. And immediately he tried to push us away saying that there is flight of Indigo at 8:05 pm and we can try there as seats are available there (just a point that no airlines will push his customers to his competitor airlines unless he is at fault ) as he was trying to cover his over booking fault. We immediately ran to indigo counter to check the prices. The prices were exorbitantly high costing us total of 31378/- for 2 tickets. Once again for last time we requested him to accommodate us in spice jet airlines which had still 20 mins left for its departure but refused in spite of that he tried to lure us by saying that he will get us some discounts on indigo and tried wasting our time and finally said not possible. Hence we had no option but to run to indigo counter airlines which was about to close their boarding. We shouted on him last time by saying that you wasted our time and did not cooperate to which he replied very shrudely saying sorry that he cannot help because there are no seats in the spice jet airlines. After this it was very clear that they sold our tickets to someone else on higher premium rates or the flight was already overbooked and hence did not accommodate us. I was shocked to hear this but had no time to discuss as our reaching Delhi by mid night was very critical and I ran on the airport with my luggage to get the indigo air tickets. Upon reaching there the Indigo CRO told us that they have closed the boarding. But just on one single request they re-open the boarding for two o[censored]s and even took our check-in luggage and co operated in the best possible way by arranging for our priority security check and all helping us in all best possible manner like a true professional. So If Indigo cud re-open the counter, Iam very sure Spice-jet could have re-opened too but this was a clear case of overbooking and selling our tickets at a premium. Since we bought the tickets 2 months in advance at just 16000 bucks to and fro. Spice jet made enough profits by selling it again at a premium. This is a clear cut case of cheating and unethical ways adopted to earn huge profits by spice jet. Let this go each and every top official in spice jet and let them compensate us by reimburse our loss to us. Tried to travel for the first time with spice jet and had a very bad experience and will never ever prefer or recommend anyone for spice jet.
