Spice Jet Airlines — Spicejet Airlines: Surprising preponement, harassed customer

Sir, This is with regards to our flight from Chennai to Kolkatta on 16th November, 2014 at 8.25 pm by SG 331 with PNR NO J5RU4M. We ( 2 tickets- me and my wife ) reached the airport at 4 30 pm and waited for check in time. There was no display that was alarming to us . At 5.45 when we went for check in counter we were told that our flight is cancelled and it got preponed to a flight that had already left at 10am . We were quite surprised since there was no phone call or sms or email from spicejet informing me about the same. The guy at the counter said that our software says a message was delivered to you on Nov 1st. However I did not get any sms. Also as per the proof I got an sms on 14th Nov stating the preparations for boarding the flight as scheduled and information on web check in. You cannot just cancel a flight randomly and say our system shows that message is sent . How come we got message for web check in? One has to be verbally spoken to as it is preponement of flight by 10hrs. And even if you had preponed due to what ever reasons then some special assistance needs to be provided. After a lot of argument Very conveniently the " senior" told me that he will give full refund ( 2999/=per ticket) and you can take the indigo flight at 8.30pm and do not waste time. It costs about 9500/= per ticket. I had to arrange money of about 19014/= immediately for 2 tickets to fly in indigo when I had booked the spice jet ticket at 2999 bucks! This is supposed to be the the cheap air ticket . Spice jet cancels the flight . prepones and shifts its passengers to a flight 10hrs in advance without one single information to us rather misleading us that as if all is normal. You are bound to make arrangements for the passenger to travel and not throw away responsibility by saying we will give full refund. Refund ??? what could I do with 2999/= for one ticket? Being a frequent flier of spice jet I did not expect this kind of service. I need to be compensated for this. Spice jet should pay me back the difference of Rs 13016/= extra I had to bear ( Full refund of 5998/= for two tickets is yet to come), leave alone the mental harassment caused by this sudden event which upset my wife quite badly.
