[Resolved] Symphony — company not ready to change cooler with faulty design | |||
I bought a symphony cooler model 50i not more than 2 months ago. The cooler has a design issue. The wheels come off every time it is moved once it is filled with water. I filed a complaint( #KA-DE-20F14002) on 20/06/2014 and a few days later the service engineer who came to assist at my house agreed that this is a design issue but also stated that the company would not change the model. He put small pieces of cloth where the wheels go in and said that the wheels would not come off. I indicated to him that the tank was damaged on the left due to the wheels coming off every now and then(photo attached) and he said that he will put in a request for a new tank and it will be replaced in a week. I also showed him that more than a few lights/indicators on the top of the cooler were not working and he said he would change the whole thing in 3 days. Both the tank and the faulty indicators have not been changed. Also the wheels still come off when the cooler is moved after filling the water. After that I got hold of someone in Kanpur, UP who oversees this area, Shashank Pandey([protected]) and he said that he will take care of the issue. But the next day onwards he stopped taking my calls. I need this issue resolved ASAP. I need a full refund for the cooler or an exchange for a different model which does not have the same problem.
