T. R. Sawhney Motors Pvt. Ltd. — Complaint against playing with sentiments of innocent customers.

Address:New Delhi, Delhi

Dear Sir, First of all I am sorry to bother you but as a customer I felt this my duty to bring the following matter to your notice. It is somewhat lengthy but without that whole and true picture will not come before you. My grand uncle Shri B. S. Aggarwal R/o G-1/21, Uttam Nagar, is an old customer of your company. He has purchased many cars from your showroom in Rajouri Garden, New Delhi. He asked us to purchase the new Swift Dzire car from the said showroom. He asked Shri Kunwar Yadav (Mobile No.[protected]) to contacted us. He and Shri Sachin (Mobile No. [protected]) came to us for Demo. We requested for some concession but they stated that no concession is admissible on New Swift Dzire. However, a very special gift will be arranged for you from the company. To our dismay this gift given on 27/05/2015 contained only 4 CDs of Year 2005-06. We wanted to sell old Maruti 800 Car in exchange. A cost of Rs.28000/- + Rs.10000/- as exchange bonus was fixed. They said the car will be collected from our residence. Later Shri Sachin asked us to hand over the same to your Showroom under IP Metro Station on 08/05/2015 where Shri Yadav will be present. I reached there at 11:20 hrs with the car and documents as advised by them and kept waiting for Shri Yadav for about 2 hours. Shri Yadav took me to True Value department, on seeing the papers they told that some forms are required to be signed by the seller (my brother). If told in time he could sign the papers as he was in Delhi on 6 and 7 May 2015. He had to come from his posting place near Kota in Rajasthan, for signing these Papers. As asked by Shri Yadav when I reached to deliver these papers, a photocopy of Pan Card and Adhaar Card of my brother was asked for. Over this i felt so much harassed. No receipt was given to us at the time of handing over the old vehicle on 08/05/15. Later a receipt was sent on my E-mail. It showed the value of Rs.22000/- + Rs.10000/- exchange bonus. When contacted Shri Sachin told that Maruti Suzuki has fixed the cost of old vehicles of Rs.22000/- and we cannot purchase it for more than that. When asked about the cost fixed as Rs.28000/-, he said Rs.6000/- will be given to me separately. Now they have shown this amount of Rs.6000/- as concession on New Swift DZire, VXi. Since 08/05/2015 onwards I had been requesting Shri Yadav to help me in getting the Registration number totaling 9. Shri Yadav promised to do so. The full amount of vehicle was deposited in your bank on 25/05/15 through RTGS. Shri Yadav was informed and he confirmed having received the amount. As earlier I told again that the delivery will be taken on 27/05/15 and requested about the Registration Number. On 27/05/15 I along with my parents reached the showroom. We are thankful for the Water, Cold Drinks and Tea served to us. My father asked for the original receipt of old vehicle. Shri Yadav gave the receipt but it showed wrong address of the seller. It was, however, corrected. Then balance amount of Rs.703/- was deposited in cash. After that Shri Yadav asked me to sign form 20, I signed the same, On seeing the papers it was found that my father’s name was not correctly entered. This was, however corrected. Then Shri Yadav showed some Reg. Numbers among which a number was 7191 totaling 9. I at once asked to issue this number. He confirmed that this has been done. We purchased a Gear lock and Door Strips. Their fixing took 1.5 hours. When this was done and time of delivery came, suddenly the General Manager and Shri Yadav came to us and told that number 7191 has been punched by our another showroom. When asked how it happened so, they started making flimsy arguments such as there was delay in signing form 20 and completion of other papers. Can anyone believe that a person who has made the full payment 3 days ago will not sign form 20. We earnestly requested for this number but in vain. We stated that let the money remain deposited with you and the vehicle will be taken when a number totaling 9 will be available. To our dismay, the Gen. Manager instead of helping us pressurised us to take another number. He also stated that people take the number of their choice by paying Rs.5000/- to Rs.10000/-. When we stated that the numbers are allotted by Computerized system, then how it can be so, he stated everything is possible. We could not understand his purpose. On this Shri Yadav suggested that let them take the vehicle with Maruti sticker and the number will be given to them later. But the Gen. Manager stated it can’t be done. He also stated that for this an undertaking will have to be given by me that I am taking the vehicle at my own risk. It is sorrowfully stated that we believe (may be wrong) that we the gentle and innocent persons were ignored and deceived and number 7191 was given to someone else by this showroom. Perforce of the above circumstances we accepted number DL 6 CN 7180 and took delivery of the vehicle with heavy heart. We saw the meter reading as 78 KMs but the booklet showed 50KMs. On 31/05/15 a telephone call was received from the showroom asking about the treatment given to us. The above was explained to the Madam who was calling. I had “0” number. Since I had lost the interest I said “7” as “0”, “7” or “10” did not make any difference to me. I do not know whether this has been recorded or not and conveyed to you. It may be mentioned that my Grand Uncle Shri B. S. Aggarwal was planning to purchase a Maruti Ciaz ZDi+ from the above showroom, but on receiving such a painful dealing and behavior, has dropped the idea with heavy heart as he has been an old customer. This, however, may not make any effect on such a big company like yours. Sir, if you believe me even a little, I assure that I have not added even a single word from me other than what actually happened. Sir, I request you to find out:- 1) By which showroom Reg. Number DL 6 CN 7191 was punched and at what time on 27/05/15 and to whom it was issued. 2) If it was issued by the showroom in Rajouri Garden at what time it was punched and to whom it was issued and why not to us. It is also requested that necessary action may be taken against the concerned persons, if found guilty, for playing with the sentiments of innocent customers like me. I shall be grateful if I am kept informed about the action taken. We are also approaching Transport Authorities to find out the truth regarding statement of the Gen. Manager, system of allocation of Reg. Numbers and about Reg. Number DL 6 CN 7191 through RTI. Thanking you, Yours faithfully (ANURAG) Dated: 04 June 2015.
