[Resolved] Tamilnadu Electricity Board (TNEB) — Electrical cable damaged due to heavy rain | |||
am a resident of Nanmangalam lives in door.no1/257 ponniamman koil 2nd St., I have registered a complaint on 24th oct night by calling 1912 from my mob.[protected]. When I checked there was power supply in neighbourhood and found supply issue in our main board. When we have enquired we were told it could be because of cable fault which has laid under ground. Until Saturday there was no response to my calls or follow up with 1912. Then I somehow got Kovilambakkam Eb office contact and registered one more complaint and they had sent Line inspector on Monday afternoon after so many follow up calls. That person was demanding 10k to lay the new cable and labour charges for digging and laying. Kindly let us know as a consumer should we bear the cost as the damage due to rain and it occurred outside of my house. If at all if I have to bear the expenses what would be the cost. That line inspector refuse to share his name and he was very rude. Was this information helpful? | |||
