Tata Communications — Extremely unhappy and disappointed....

I would like to lodge a complaint on various issues faced by us in the last 15 days.

1. I called up TATA PLAY enquiring about NETFLIX. I was told by your customer service executive on 8-8-2022 to give a missed call on a certain number to avail NetFLix. but since I have an old TV. Tata Play was offering a FREE fire stick. I was shocked to know our subscription which was renewed for a month on[protected] was disconnected on[protected] ( the message we were getting was the usual that your set up box is not getting the signal because of the cloudy weather and in spite of the weather being clear we were still getting this message. We called up customer service and was informed that y (TATA PLAY ) have disconnected the service on[protected] because we did not pay the charges of INR 50/- towards RomedyNOW, ColoursHD and ZEE Cafe. We have NOT subscribed to these channels and kept telling the customer service executive how did you deactivate our account where it had to run till the[protected]. so he requested us to pay the minimum INR 50/- so he could view our subscription on the system and update us. He said he would have this refunded back our money if he got to know that these channels were not subscribed by us and YET we had to pay INR 50/-

2. After payment of INR 236/- on[protected]. Channels subscribed by us are 606 Indian Today, 626 CNBC, 631 CNN, 128 SONY, 762 NDTV Good Times. Amt 185/- plus the 50 requested by the Executive total amt paid was 236/- we renewed this as this was close to our renewal date of 21-8-22. We Renewed our channels our TV was still not working with the message cloudy weather Rainy weather etc. your customer service executive told us that they would send a technician from Tata Play for which no charges would have to be paid It is a FREE service. The technician resolved the issue by charging us INR 1, 750/- He said he changed the cable wire which he has NOT shown us. We have our doubts as we did not see but Yes the old receiver he brought down and showed us . But the technician said that if we pay him CASH he would reduce the amount by INR 300/- We were not comfortable. We did not agree to his proposal he further reduced the bill amt to INR 1, 100/- if we paid him CASH. We find this a fishy business after that we recd calls from the Tata Play office to check whether we paid the technician is cash or directly they were again and again reconfirming about the changes ( the receiver and the cable wire ) We insisted to pay the complete bill of INR 1, 750/-. We have received a bill of Tata Play of INR 1750/- where in INR 300/- has been charged as RELOCATION charges????
We have NOT relocated our address we stay at the same place mentioned. The address A/203 Arihant Krupa CHS, Sector 27, Plot 40, Ranjanpada, Kharghar, Pincode 410210. nor has the dish being relocated its still in the same place so WHY are these charges???

PLEASE REVERSE AND CREDIT INR 300/- TO OUR ACCOUNT ASAP.

3. On[protected] we received a call from TATA PLAY on our registered mobile no: [protected] inquiring whether the technician completed the job. My husband informed the girl that the job was completed on 18th August itself and we had confirmed it toTata Play customer service executive. She then informs my husband that the complain is not closed in TATA PLAY system and in order to close the issue we will receive the OTP which we have to share with her. we reluctantly did it as she instructed. We were shocked when we received a SMS that we had subscribed to channel 316 and 505 and applicable charges would be recovered. We feel CHEATED by TATA PLAY . Please SACK the girl who did this as this its spoiling the name of your reputable organization. THE TATAS.

4. In a similiar fashion TATA PLAY activated TATA Bringe ZEE 5 on their own and we receive SMS that charges of INR 55/- pm would be debited ????
We have not activated these channel. Kindly cancel these channel from our account and note that we will not be paying for any of these channels

5. We are NOT at all all happy with the service of TATA PLAY off late in the last 15 days and feel cheated and are forced to pay for channels not applied or subscribed by us. Looks like customer service is pressured with Sale Targets and to fulfill their targets are resolving to such malpractices and making the customers pay for channels they have not subscribed and not interested in viewing them

We are SENIOR CITIZEN Retired and do not receive Pension, Please get our account rectified and credit back our account urgently.
