[Resolved] Tata Docomo — Advance rental bill despite cancellation request | |||
I was using tata photon+ (No. [protected]) 6 month advance rental plan. I inquired customer care that if i put a cancellation request and it gets cancelled after the renewal date, how I will be charged? . They told me that prorated charge will be calculated and that only I will need to pay. I again confirmed that they won't charge me full amount and they assured me that only prorated charge will be made. Based on their response, I put a cancellation request and also bough new Tata photon max wifi device along with a tata postpaid number. My old device's renewal date was 21 dec and I got cancellation mail on 28th December. But after two months, they have sent me a notice stating I have to pay 4070 rs. for that device or they will take legal actions. When I called customer care, they are saying since device was renewed, so I will have to pay full amount. Also when told about their previous response, they are asking the name of CCE who told this and also that they don't have any written record of this being told. When asking is it my fault that I was informed wrong, they are just saying sorry for inconvenience but you will have to pay. I don't have any expectation that they ever gonna do anything regarding this matter, except asking/forcing me to pay. They have asked me to wait till 2nd March, if still nothing done about it by them, I will be cancelling my Tata photon wifi connection as well as tata postpaid number too, and will probably stay away from using Tata services in future.
