I'm not in the country and I asked to have the account cancelled. WHY THE BLOODY HELL DO I GET A BILL THIS MONTH? I TRIED TO REACH CUSTOMER CARE ON YOUR WEBSITE AND THE BELOW ATTACHED PICTURE TELLS YOU THAT SAD SICKENING STORY OF DISGUSTING TATA DOCOMO IF I RECEIVE ANOTHER EMAIL FROM YOU IT HAS TO BE AN EMAIL ABOUT THE CANCELLATION AND NOT THE BILLS WHICH I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR AS SOME EMPLOYEE OF YOURS DID NOT DO HIS OR HER BLOODY JOB. I WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS ANY LONGER. IF NEED BE I WILL HAVE TO WRITE TO THE CONSUMER COURT OR ANYWHERE REQUIRED. DON'T TEST MY PATIENCE AS I HAD BEEN A GOOD CUSTOMER OF YOURS SINCE THE DAY WE GOT THE CONNECTION. TODAY Mr/Mrs/M/s. FRANKLIN PAUL ARUJAH Ref No:Amnesty/Mar/2014/5566 Sub:- Full and final settlement of your Relationship No:[protected] regarding Tata Docomo MDN no: [protected]. Dear Sir/Madam, We thank you for choosing Tata Teleservices Limited as your telecom service provider for TATA Docomo brand. At the time of applying for the aforesaid telephone connection, you had agreed to make payments of the periodic bills raised by Tata Teleservices Limited upon you by the due date in respect of the availed services. Based on your assurances, we have allotted a Tata DoCoMo phone connection bearing no. [protected] to you on a duly executed Subscriber Application Form and other related forms/documents and account ID was allotted to you. You availed best of the service/s provided by us after activation of the said phone connection. Presently, we find from our records that a sum of Rs.1845 (Rupees One Thousand Eight Hundred Forty Five Rupees.Only) remains outstanding in your account as on 10th Mar 2014, .However, inspite of the receipt of the said bills, you have failed to make the payment to clear the outstanding amount, despite our repeated requests and reminders. Due to the non-payment of our legitimate dues, our company was compelled to disconnect your aforesaid connection. We would like to inform you that we have launched an Amnesty scheme for condoning the delay by the customers, who have defaulted in clearing their outstanding dues by the due date with our company granting immunity to them and accordingly they will be spared from legal action, if they clear their dues during the Scheme period. The amnesty scheme is open for the period from 10-Mar-2014 to 31-Mar-2014. Since your name is also featuring in the list of such customers, who have not paid their dues, we suggest you to participate in this Amnesty Scheme, whereby the quantum of relief to be extended to you would be 50 % and 50 % only would be claimed from you (excluding interest), as full & final settlement of your account with us. However, if you fail to avail the scheme and still do not make the payments, as stated above, during the operation of the scheme, our company will be compelled to take necessary legal action against you, for the recovery of the complete outstanding amount along with interest, at your absolute costs, risk and consequences. Through this letter, we are giving you a final opportunity to avail the scheme and clear your account by just paying 50% of the total outstanding, i.e.Rs.922.5 within the scheme period to avoid any inconvenience and embarrassment, However, in case you fail to pay the aforesaid amount by the prescribed time, our company shall have no other option, but to initiate appropriate legal action against you for the recovery of the said amount along with interest, at your absolute costs, risk and consequences. Please feel free to contact Ms.Sujatha Thakur(Mobile: [protected]) during office hours between 9.30 am to 6.00 pm. in case of queries, if any. Alternatively, you may visit us at TATA Teleservices Ltd No.30/1 Silicon Terraces Hosur Main Road Koramangala Bangalore - 560095 and our executives would be more than willing to assist you. We value your relationship with us and look forward to the pleasure of serving you as a valued member of TATA Docomo Family. P.S: Please does not reply to this mail ID. Yours Sincerely, For, TATA TELESERVICES LTD, Manager – Collections MY REPLY Ms.Sujatha Thakur / Anyone Responsible, I am Henry and the account in question is of my father Mr. Franklin Paul Arujah. He has lived his life with dignity and is a very respectable person in society. He will not run away from an amount of Rs. 1845 if he really owes it. I have read your email and it makes not sense to me. I have reasons to say so. We had sent a request for cancellation of this service and also received acknowledgement. We paid all dues in full and and that is when they accepted the cancellation request. It is clearly your people's mistake. Your words of INCONVENIENCE and EMBARRASSMENT is very offensive. It could very well turn out to be your company that will have to face inconvenience and embarrassment. I will have to take this issue to the Consumer court or wherever necessary if I do not receive a satisfactory reply. The last time I sent an email, you people did not reply to my email. Your efficiency clearly shows. Get your things right first before offering amnesty to a customer who had never failed to pay his bills ever. Check the attachment for the email conversations. Regards, Henry

Thanks and Regards,

Tata DOCOMO.
I called Sujatha Thakur now. She hung up on me all the times I called. I was explaining my grievance to her and she didn't bother to listen to me. All she said was you have an outstanding amount and you have to pay. She has no manners.

NOTE: I called her during her office working hours IST and she asked me to hold the line and was talking to people around her.

Is this the quality of people Tata docomo recruits? SHAME ON YOU.

*Photo proof of my calls made are attached.

Dear Mr. Arujah,

We tried to speak to you personally over the call, to understand your concerns regarding billing. However, we are unable to contact you, since your call was switched off.

We request you to provide your alternate contact number to call you.

Thanks and Regards,
Customer Care
Tata Docomo.
Dear Sir/Ma'am,

We are abroad. The only reason we cancelled the service with Tata is because we were moving abroad. The customer service rep we met at the store was clearly given the reason and we also asked if we had to return the instrument, for which your rep said it was useless returning it. We cleared the bill and we were off.

We used your service for a long time and if you were to check our bill payment history, you will find that we had never ever defaulted on the bills we owed you. This is clearly the customer service reps mistake. We are totally disappointed for all the trouble we have to go through because one person did not perform his/her duties. We continued to receive bills and we did reply to Tata but to no avail. Not an email was replied by your customer service. Now Tata sends us collection emails and an amnesty offer and also threatens to take action or we need to face the inconvenience and embarrassment. This whole issue has caused a lot o[censored]nrest and stress. I also called that woman sujatha who had no manners whatsoever. We really do not appreciate this.

We suggest you to investigate why your people did not cancel the service when we clearly stated the reason for cancellation and that too at your customer service shop. We hope we have made ourselves clear.

I thank God for someone actually responding to our complaint.

Regards,
Henry
TATA,

Why is there no response to my complaint?

This issue has to be resolved by you.

I need a confirmation that I will not receive such threatening emails from your uneducated and ill-mannered so called advocates.

Get your act right.

I called up customer care many times and no proper response, nodal officers, even visited office but no progress and you guiys are back after 4yrs on asking for final settlement. You guys really suck!

Here is the email I received and previous follow-ups.
