Tata Docomo — Tata Photon Max Wifi not activated | |||
I have purchased a Tata Docomo Photon Max WiFi from Tata Docomo Online Shop (shop.tatadocomo.com) on[protected]. *MY INVOICE # :EC[protected]* I received the device on the 14th as prompted. I have been trying to get my Photon activated ever since then. Its a sad state where you have to spend 1 hour min each day to talk to the customer care to have this activated. It took me a couple of calls to get the cutomer care number where i can talk to the executive to speak my problem. As i have not received any messages from Tata Docomo, i couldnt connect to the activation service where it asks to enter the 10 digit photon number. Its been a week now, numerous calls to the customer care to get the device activated. Everytime its the same response of having my case being escalated to the Activation department. But never have i got a single message from Tata Docomo about the activation. Although i received a call from Docomo asking whether i received the device earlier this week. The reason i went for the online purchase was expecting a quick solution. Would like to quote the worst after sale service ever. But, good plans and a good online purchase option, Zip Delivery as promised. As a customer i would always want a very good after sale service for retaining and faithfull customers. I would either like to get the service activated tomorrow, if not, i would be happy to return the device and claim a refund. Its been 7 days and still no response to my request for activation. As per instructions i was told after 8 days of receiving the device that the order that i placed (# EC[protected]) would be cancelled (Without my request) and that i have to place a new order which would be just for the purpose of activation. As instructed i placed the order around 15 minutes after the phone conversation on 23-07-14. The new order number # EC [protected] was reported to the customer care for activation and i was told that the device would be activated in a day.
Its 28-07-14, 5 days after i placed the 2nd order, and 14 days after i got the device, 17 days after i placed my order in the first place.
In spite of calling the customer care[protected] a minimum of twice daily for the past week. The only new thing i know about Tata Photon, is that after around 7 calls to the customer care, the executives seems to be repeating.
Every single time, the only response was " The concerned issue has been fwded to the activation department, you will get the response as soon as possible "
I would like to know the procedure to cancel the order and get a refund of the whole amount. Its worthless to spend so much time behind the same issue, wasting more than the amount i used to buy the device to recharge on my mobile phone for accessing internet.
Expecting the device to get activated in a week, maximum after i placed the order. Its been 17 days now. Even after so many calls, emails.. I just happen to know that there is absolutely no value for any concern that a customer has towards the product.
Taking more than 2 weeks to activate a device is not at all acceptable.

Sadly, the device is still not activated. Photon has the worst service that i ever faced. Good Plans, WORST SERVICE.
