Tata Indicom — Repeated unwarranted emails from Tata Indicom for monthly payments even after connection termination.

I have been receiving harassing emails time and again from Tata Indicom! I have replied to them in the past many times but it just doesn't get registered. I left Pune on May, 2011 and before doing so I had called up your customer care executives and informed them to collect the router from my address. Infact I called them up three times, still no one showed up (I guess there's no commission involved for collecting devices!). On my last day I went to the local tata indicom shop (from where I had got my connection initially) in Pimple Saudagar called Infovision and handed them my router. I had paid all my monthly dues regularly for the past 2 years of living in Pune. [protected]-- I receive the following emails:- To, DEVARUN BHATTACHARYA D BHATTACHARYA Dear Sir/Madam, Sub: Conciliation Cum Demand Notice 1. TTML is Fixed/Wireless phone operators in various other places including at Maharashtra region having their branch offices, inter alia at Al Aqmar, Ganesh Khind Road, Shivaji Nagar, Pune - 5. After agreeing to all the terms and Conditions of TTML you have availed Fixed/Wireless Phone Services vide A/c No. Customer Code Number[protected]. 2. TTML further says that while availing the said facility you had agreed to the terms and conditions of TTML including to pay monthly bills on or before the due dates and in default therein you had also agreed to pay interest fetches thereon. However you have neglected to pay to TTML a sum of Rs. 2031.00 till today thereby you became one of the defaulter of our clients. 3. TTML further says that even after repeated requests, reminders and personal visits by the representatives of TTML, you have neither cleared the dues nor have come forward with any proposal towards payments. As such you have committed breach of terms, your actions are against the interest of TTML, hence noted the same by TTML. 4. TTML now have assigned the matters to initiate legal proceedings against you. Without prejudice to TTML rights to claim entire amount outstanding and before initiating any Criminal and/or Civil proceedings against you to avoid inconveniences and harassments to their customers, TTML are presently contemplating/interested in settling the matters mutually, to give fair chance to their once valued customers, by inviting for them to a conciliation proceedings meeting. The conciliation proceedings meeting means meeting for SETTLEMENT to be held in the direction of rebuilding relationships under the principles of natural justice for mutual benefits, to be held in our/our clients at the address given herein below, . Tata Office Address : TataTeleservices Maharashtra Ltd., Tata Indicom (Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd.), Al Aqmar, Ganesh Khind Road, Shivaji Nagar, Pune - 411005 We therefore call upon you on behalf of TTML to come forward for the conciliation meeting on or before 5 DAYS of the date this of notice between 10 a.m. to 7.00 p.m to the above mentioned address. In the event of failure to attend the conciliation meeting at the given address hereinabove, you are hereby called upon to pay the entire balance amount of Rs. 2031.00 along with the cost of this notice of Rs. 500/- to your nearest TATA IndiCom Office on or before 5 DAYS on receipt of this notice. These being the circumstances please take note that if you fail to co-operate or in default of your compliance to this notice TTML' peremptory instructions to take appropriate Civil and/or Criminal proceedings against you for evading and avoiding to make payments also for the acts of negligence to return the valuable phone instrument, entirely at your risk as to cost and consequences thereof. NB: You may ignore this notice if you have already made payment/settled the account against earlier notices/reminders or during this notice transit period.
