Tata Sky — Charges levied incorrectly, false commitment

I'd called tata sky on 14 Oct to book a new connection and move an existing one within the same unit to a different floor, I was told there will be a flat charge of ₹999 only and an additional rate at which the wire will be charged should there be more than 10 metres that is being used. I was also told that the technician will call me and I can set up a time that is convenient to me.

- I got a call from the technician and it was agreed (reluctantly, on his part), that the technician will visit on 16 Oct at 1130 hrs. I had to call tata sky at 11:39 on 16 Oct to be told that the technician will be coming at 2:30 pm, which he never called me to confirm/agree. Finally he turned up at 3:15 pm and for waiting for 10 minutes, the technician's supervisor called and harassed my husband. Thereafter, once he started installing, he refused to connect the other set top box. I then had to call up their call center and talk to them for a good 30 minutes before the guy finally agreed.

- I was told that totally there was 50 meters of wire that was used, which was 40 meters more than what is free of cost. I understood that.

- My husband got a message on 18 Oct that ₹600 has been deducted from the existing balance and my tata sky has been deactivated.

- I was being told to either put in extra money or wait for tata sky to pull up the call recording for 16 Oct, the estimated time of pulling which was quoted as 24 hours, just so tata sky can checked what was committed.

I've sent an email yesterday to their nodal officer with the details. I've got a revert at 2:12 pm yesterday that someone will contact me within 24 hours and so far no one has contacted me.

I need to know and get action taken on immediately from tata sky on:
- Pulling out the call recording and checking what was committed, it doesn't take 24 hours. It will only take minutes of someone's time
- Report an official complaint against the technician and his supervisor for false charges. I'll be putting in a police complaint well.
- compensate me if the charges levied are incorrect since I'm being inconvenienced for no fault of mine
- Get a receipt for the charges and details of why I've been charged. So far I haven't got a bill for the money deducted, which tata sky is legally bound to provide me with before disconnecting my services.

I'll also be posting a copy of this letter on social media/ blog so other customers can't be conned by tata sky this way.

Hope some action will be taken on this and an acknowledgement and details of action taken shared with me.
