Tata Sky — Customer Harassment

I have a Tata sky connection in the name of Dinesh Jain with Subscription ID [protected]. Two days back i.e. on 24/11/2016 I talked to their customer care executive on toll free no. regarding recharge of my account to avail their dhamaal mix pack annual subscription. I was told by their executive that your set top box is deactivated as I haven't got it recharged for 3-4 months and after recharge it will be activated from their end. Last night i.e. on 25/11/2016, I recharged my account with Rs. 3135/- which is the annual subscription price for dhamaal mix pack. I called customer care executive to activate my set top box, but to my amazement the executive told that they are unable to activate it and engineer visit will have to be done for which I will be charged Rs 200/-. I asked why should I pay Rs 200/- as I have been misguided by your side, now either fix the problem free of cost or refund my recharge amount i.e. Rs 3135/-. I was told by the executive that he has processed the request for refund and their team for refund will call me in next three days. Today when their refund team called me, I was told that I will get the amount back through cheque and that too after 30 days and adding to that they will deduct Rs. 10/- from the amount as I have used the subscription for a day( for which my set top box was not at all activated). When I said that when the money has been transferred online, refund the money online, the executive told that it's company's policy. The money was denied to be refunded immediately and it will take a month at least. The problem doesn't end here only. To add to this their refund team executive told us that their engineer will be visiting within this period to take away the set top box and the dish installed on the roof. When I said that I have paid for it in the beginning and now the box and the dish belongs to me, the executive told that the amount paid in the beginning for purchasing dish and set top box were not purchasing charges, rather they were service charges and now we will have to return both the things for which we will not be paid our money back. That is height of customer embarrassment.

Either refund my amount in total or activate my account and the yearly subscription should begin from the day my set top box is activated. I'll not be paying for any engineer visit as I have not requested for my set top box deactivation and also I'll not be returning set top box and dish as I have already paid for them in the beginning.

Please look into the matter and do take the matter seriously with the company so that they don't keep on fooling with the customers.

I got a call from customer care executive of Tata sky on 28/11/2016 that your refund will be processed within 24 hours and amount will be credited in full amount within 5 days to my account. More than 6 days have passed, but neither the amount has been received nor I have got any msg/call from their end. Customer service of Tata sky is very poor.

Kindly look into the matter so that refund can be processed at the earliest and we get rid from this pathetic company
