[Resolved]  Tata Sky — No dish

Subscriber ID: [protected] Had a TATA SKY connection, but haven’t been using it for more than a year. Wanted to start using it again. So I called your customer care service, on 10-12-15 for STB upgradation to HD. I was given a deal wherein the first STB would be charged at 1500 and second at 590 and given ONE YEAR WAIVER OF HD ACCESS FEE, by a lady whose number is [protected]. She asked me to first recharge my account so that it will be activated, after which she can take a request for upgradation. I recharged Rs. 100. Then a technician called, for delivery of STBs. His number is [protected]. He came, and installed the STBs. But the line wasn’t working. So he went to check the connection on the terrace of my building. But, the dish, which was originally mine, was being used by someone else, probably new tenants in the same building, and the four lines were pulled out and lying next to the dish. (I used to have 4 lines). He said, I would have to purchase a new dish, which would cost me Rs. 675. I told him, why should I purchase a new dish, it was your company who allocated my dish to someone else, instead of installing a new one for them. I sent him off after paying him Rs. 2100 for the STBs, since it was late in the night, and I had to call the customer care regarding the dish. They raised a complaint regarding it and promised it would be solved by 13-12-15. Couple of hours later, I checked my account details online, but to my surprise, was charged only Rs. 590 and Rs. 490 for the two set top boxes. I immediately, called the customer care helpline, and they said, I would not be given 1 year HD free, and the previous deal given to me, was a TECHNICAL ERROR. No such deal existed. And they raised a complaint regarding it. (Still hasn’t been resolved). An hour later, I was charged Rs 100, for HD access fee for 2 months. Now what is this for? How can you randomly charge me for this service, at your convenience? The next day when I log into my account, I find the advertisement for the same deal I was supposed to be given. How can you say it is a “technical error”? Has the same technical error been made by 3 different executives? I received a call on the 12-12-15 at 09:53 a.m. from the number[protected]. An executive had called regarding the dish issue. I explained it to him. He said I would, receive a call back within 24hrs. I waited, but haven’t received any call back. I called the next day on 13-12-15, and was told I would receive a call back within 24 hrs from the so called “Backend Team”. Haven’t received any phone call. Nevertheless, I decided to call again on the 14-12-15, for a disconnection and a refund of my money. The first time I called, my call was put on hold to be transferred, and was abruptly disconnected, and I believe it was done deliberately. The second time I called, it was transferred to a Mr. Naresh, who was apparently the supervisor for Hyderabad Call Center. He told me, NO COMPLAINT WAS EVER MADE REGARDING THE DISH. I repeatedly asked him to check. He reconfirmed, and did not find any complaint regarding the dish. I was in utter disbelief. He said, he would raise a new complaint which would be solved by the 18-12-15. I asked to raise a request, for a disconnection. He said I would receive a call back within 48 hrs. Now tell, am I really going to receive a call back this time? Am I going to get my refund? Is this really a TATA group company? Because TATA, always had a reputation for good customer service. I have 2 issues with my connection, one regarding the HD STB deal, and the second regarding the dish.
