[Resolved] Tripgateway.in — A company with false claims. | |||||
I had booked a holiday package on March 23rd (on Holi) during the happy hours through Mr Ranjeet. As part of the deal, I was promised a gift (Samsung Galaxy Tab) along with the package. I was told that the gift would reach me in 5 working days after my registration. Now it's been more than 25 days and I haven't yet received any gift. I was also in touch with Mr Tarun(who is supposedly the manager of Mr Ranjeet) who assured that I would receive the gift within a week of booking. I didn't get any positive response from him even after 25 days. He then transferred my request to Mr Jithender(who is the manager of Mr Tarun) who also assured me of the gift but failed to respond within the stipulated time. Now, it's been 29 days and I have lost hopes of getting any kind of positive response regarding the gift. I called their customer helpdesk today who confirmed to me that there is no such gift for "Happy hours" and that gifts are only for referrals. Either there is no communication between the marketing team and customer helpdesk or they are lying through their hats. So I have decided to withdraw my membership on the grounds that if they are so irresponsible now itself, I can imagine how it'll be when I book a hotel through them. I requested for a refund and called them regarding the same but now they are saying that even refund is not possible. My request to the company is to please process this at least in the stipulated time as mentioned on your website. (By the way, Mr Tarun had also promised me a full refund if I didn't get any gift within a month. Waiting to see if he denies that now.) Was this information helpful? | |||||
Jul 19, 2016 Complaint marked as Resolved After many requests and repeated phone calls, Tripgateway has decided to refund the money to my bank account by accepting the charge back request from my bank. So, for now, I'm marking this as resolved believing that they have actually accepted the charge back request and the process is underway. TripGateWay.in customer support has been notified about the posted complaint. | |||||

Attaching a snapshot of the mail received from Mr. Ranjeet. He cleverly mentioned the gift over the phone and in the mail he added the referral part. So the customer care now denies any gift and use this as a tool to deny any such claims made by the marketing team.

Today I received a mail from Tripgateway saying that the package I bought is non-refundable where as it's clearly mentioned in their terms and conditions that it can be refunded. I had a call with Mr Gaurav during the weekend and he seemed quiet understanding. He had also requested me to avail their services and in the event of Tripgateway not able to provide the service of my choice, they would refund my booking amount.
Now, I don't understand if they can refund at that time, why not now??

Today Mr Gaurav called me to tell me that the money is non-refundable whatsoever. He even challenged me to fight it out in the court of law. Please find the snapshot of the the voucher that they sent me. and it's clearly mentioned about refund.

Today I received a call from Mr Gaurav Mehta(legal advisor) from Tripgateway and he was trying to bulldoze me into settling for only 80% refund. I didn't agree to him and requested for a full refund because I was cancelling the package on the grounds that they cheated me and not for any other reason. I even have a snapshot of the mail sent by him admitting that they had taken action against the sales guy who represented them. This means that he knew and admitted to the mistake.
I appeal to the admin to escalate this matter and take strict action against such companies.

After much fighting and justification, Tripgateway has agreed to refund my money. This complaint will stand to be resolved once my bank receives the money from them.
