Sir, I am attaching the email already sent to videocon service centre. From Shri.Koothan Manohar, No.316/2, Sumathi Illam, mobile. [protected]/[protected] Edison Street, Nataraj Nagar, email. [protected]@yahoo.co.in Kochaadai, Madurai-16. [protected]@gmail.com To The Customer Care Manager, Videocon Tablets & Mobiles. Sir, Sub: Replacement of new Tablet in lieu of defunct Tablet. Model No. VT85C / IMEI No.[protected]. ** ** I had purchased Videocon Tablet model No. VT85C / IMEI No. [protected] on 23.12.2013 from Poorvika Mobiles Pvt. Ld., Madurai. To my utter dismay the device started malfunctioning right from the 2nd month onwards in that while charging the process gets abrupted often. Due to the above deficiency I was unable to charge the device and utilize the same. As I am very busily preoccupied with my regular work, I could not hand over the instrument to the service centre since I could not get any spare time and I was frustrated with the poor performance of the set. At last when I enquired with the supplier viz., M/s. Poorvika Mobiles, I was told to contact the authorized service centre Ms. Vinayaka Communications, Madurai. I could get time only in the last week of April ‘14 to hand over the device to your authorized service centre duly producing the original cash receipt to prove the warranty. They told me that the there is some fault in the charging area and I readily immediately handed over the set for repairing since it was your authorized service centre. They made some repair and told me that the charger pin was replaced and also charged me Rs.450/- vide receipt No.130 dated 2.5.14 (job sheet No.15709). When I objected the payment they convinced me that the charging pin is not covered under warranty and hence they have charged Rs.450/-. Even though I am already frustrated with the set, however when I tried using the device after a couple of days when I could get time, the device got automatically switching off duly getting heated even while using for a short time. I contacted the service centre, I was told that there is a major problem in the mother board and needs replacement. Even though I am frustrated with the poor performance of the Tablet manufactured from a reputed company, I decided to hand over to the same service center on 7.5.2014 (job sheet No.15885). I am to state that during the 6 month period I could use the set only for about 2 months due to the multiple malfunction as already stated. I am also deeply irked whether I chose a wrong brand of Tablet. Even though the set was handed over on 7.5.14, no progress of the job is known to me except that the mother board is faulty. When enquired about the status of the work order, I could not get any information. I am at loss to under stand what is happening as the Tablet is yet to be returned to me till now. Due to the foresaid reason, now I am in no position to use a tablet with a repaired/faulty mother board within the warranty period and I cannot compromise on this. Hence I request you to either refund the entire amount of Rs.8500/- paid by me or else replace the tablet with a brand new one without any further agony and resorting to litigation.
