[Resolved]  Vodafone India — harassment of customer of Vodafone

I was a vodafone prepaid customer from April 2012 to Feb2015 . As there were some problems regarding coverage and when the calls started getting disturbed I opted to PORT to Airtel. I was convinced by the Vodafone customer services that I would be given a new sim and a postpaid connection. I did not port to AIRTEL and agreed for the postpaid connection with a rental plan of Rs. 199, in which I would get 600 min talktime and 500 sms. I also opted for a 1 GB data plan for Rs. 250 . The first 2 months were going fine. But for the Bill for the month of April 6 to May 5th i was shocked that without my consent I was put into a cap plan for data pack which cost Rs.750 . The sadest part was that I consumed only 1224 MB in the whole Bill cycle and for the data pack I had to pay Rs. 250+ Rs.750 which is harassing the consumers . Now from May 6th onwards I deactivated the cap plan which means that after consuming about 800MB I should pay Rs.250 and not rs.750. I again activated a normal data pack plan for rs. 250 and when I had consumed 800 MB I was intimated that my bill had gone upto 2600 approx for which vodafone would deactivate my services if I did not make payment . As on today my outgoing services have been restricted though I am in a fixed rental plan of Rs. 199 and I bet that I have not used 600 minutes in this cycle. when the data packs have been activated why does the vodafone do this to customers like me . I am a doctor and I have been making all payments promptly well ahead of due date. It is very funny that Vodafone is insisting for payment well before the due date giving shocks of huge bills even in the middle of a bill cycle.
