Voltas — new ac having defects, both seller and manufacturer company putting the blame on each other, not replacing the faulty parts | |||
Hi Consumer Forum, This is a grievance letter pertaining to a recent purchase of an all-weather Voltas Hot and Cold Split AC on 1st of May, 2014 from Shri Balaji Electronics, Krishna Nagar, Delhi-110051. When I bought the AC from above mentioned dealer, I was charged with an additional amount of 1500/-, along with the negotiated price of the unit. They claimed it to be the standard installation charge which every customer needs to pay and assured that the installation would be done by an authorized technician from Voltas. Subsequently, someone came and did the installation as assured. Few days into use, I discovered that the AC was having a meager cooling effect and made a request to Voltas. In response to the request, a technician from Voltas came and found a leakage in the pipe, and said it needs to be repaired. Now the problem is that both Voltas and the dealer are putting blame on each other and trying to get rid of the responsibility of replacing the faulty parts. Kindly advise, more than 15 days has been past from the date of purchase but i have not used this ac even for 10 minutes. Was this information helpful? | |||
